Pina: unless he becomes head coach of the raptors or suns, it’s fair to assume that frank vogel will be at the top of boston’s list as a lead assistant for mazzulla next season. stephen silas would be a great addition, too.

  1. Getting Silas and Vogel would make me feel a lot more confident for next season. Just need to figure out which former player working as an assistant coach that could be available as well

He’s not getting either of those head coaching jobs. He can choose to wait it out on the sidelines, or maybe go on TV for a year. But I feel pretty confident that a year as a top assistant on a contender would help him land a better job in the future.

  3. It’s a shame that Rondo apparently lost his damn mind and became a real problem in his private life, I always thought he’d be a great coach for this team

  4. Haven’t been on the sub a ton recently so don’t know what the Joe conversation has been like but speaking generally with people outside the sub I feel like the coaching talent drain doesn’t get brought up enough.

Joe has his faults and I’m still 50/50 on him (not that it matters) but I want to give him a chance with *his* staff.

I find it hard to see these experienced coaches wanting to play 2nd fiddle to a guy who was a 2nd row assistant last year and only got the gig because Ime couldn’t keep it in his pants. It wasn’t that long ago that he was taping a ping pong paddle to Romeo Langfords hand.

Getting info from mazulla is way worse than Popovich . He just answer whatever he wants and he hates journalist lol

Pay em both and find away to fix the mental toughness of the locker room and get Jaylen and Tatum going to their left

I dream about Vogel guy is as experienced as it gets, a championship coach and defense oriented something this team desperately lacked after ime’s departure

We need a guy that has played and has won……. I’m not saying Silas and Vogel aren’t great but as much as we clown Haslem, he makes a difference in that locker room. Cassell would be cool. But I doubt he leaves Philly. I don’t think Rondo wants to coach but I’d take him. Either way we need someone who can push these guys.

Can we get KG in there? Not really as assistant coach but just to stand there and cuss players when they’re playing nonchalantly.
