I’d consider it. Paul’s deal is non-guaranteed in 24-25. I like TJ Warren as well.

I would definitely be against it as a long time Chris Paul hater but if it happens I’ll convince myself it’ll be great for Wembanyama’s development lol

CP3 would be a great mind to have in our organization. His BB IQ is among the best in the league.
However, that contract is not it, and they don’t have many picks left to offer us.

Cp3 is geriatric at this point. Next.

He’d by a great fit, floor general, mentor, professional, role model, retiring due to old age by the time we need to pay the kids.
Not at the price of Zach though. Fine with letting Doug go instead, however.

If only CP3 wasn’t such a whiny bitch , I would have like such a vet to teach wemby on court.

I’ve been someone who is found great delight in watching Chris Paul fail in the playoffs over the years. Something about his personality just bugs me as a neutral fan.
With that said, I continue to be surprised how many people on this subreddit are 100% against the idea. It honestly makes a good modicum of sense
From what I remember a lot of his contract is non guaranteed as well. So you’re not on the hook for a ton of cap, the Spurs need to spend some anyway to prevent being punished by the league, and imagining how many easy dunks Victor would get. Even just spending 20 minutes a game with Chris Paul makes my mind melt
The guy is absolutely one of the best pick and roll players in NBA history. If you have the chance to pair him up with a prospect who has literally mind altering ability as a rim runner and all it costs, you is a couple of role players and eating some cap for a year. Why would you not do that?
My biggest fear with Victor is the lack of Spurs playmaking keeps him from having too many easy buckets year one and he’s forced to operate a little to heavily as a self-creator. For the sake of his development and confidence, I think it’s important the Spurs maximize his natural advantages and allow him to get some some easy opportunities early in his career

No.
Zach is a solid fit either playing along side Victor or backing him up. And he’s cheap and had a great second half last season.
When you get deep into CP3’s contract is when the Spurs are trying to extend their young players and be flexible enough to make a move for an impact acquisition that isn’t 83 years old with a significant injury history.
I get it, CP3 is an elite floor raiser and one of the smartest players in the game. He’s also old, busted, and doesn’t fit anything we are doing. Don’t take my word for it, look for Brian Wright quotes following the draft lottery.
