Visiting from r/Timberwolves with a trade I hate so much that it might actually be fair? Can’t quite figure out who would say no quicker so I thought I should come here and lose some karma.
Nets trade Mikal Bridges (don’t downvote yet!) and the shell of Ben Simmons. Wolves send back KAT, Kyle Anderson, and Wendell Moore or whatever throw-in piece the Nets want to make the money work. Maybe a Taurean Prince reunion instead of Wendell if that tips the scales?
Solves some problems for both teams and creates some different problems. Both teams probably hang up the phone on this deal.
Mikal Bridges post-trade performance has rightfully earned him his hot commodity status and I know the Nets’ position is that you’ll keep building around him, but does using his current trade hype to both get off the Ben Simmons contract and bring in a “bigger” name (and hometown guy) like KAT move the needle for anybody in Brooklyn? Is there a different max contract guy that y’all would do the move for outside of the league-wide untouchables?
