  1. "know your role", jeff?? maybe you should know yours.

wyc pays all these guys hordes of his own money, and as such i think he gets to tell them what he wants. i'm actually glad SOMEOME in that locker room gave a dam. brad wouldn't get in their faces, and mazzulla's "i love you, jaylen" after losses clearly wasn't going to pull anyone's head out of their asses.

out of all of those guys in that locker room, wyc's the only one with a championship ring.

  2. I think they need to run it back. Joe in his second year, Jaylens last year under contract. Maybe a couple adds and subtractions but nothing crazy.

  3. To run it back with the same team that repeatedly loses, shows horrible management and a disconnect from reality and lack of basketball knowledge

  4. I agree with Chris. The J’s can win a title together. Everybody was mad cause the ride they took us on. Ya JB had a horrible game 7, but like Chris said. No complaining when he’s killing it. Which BTW is more often then not. Idk. I’m good running this squad back! It can’t be a championship every year. Ask any other organization that don’t sniff the playoffs for years. Yet it’s spoiled Boston fans crying about 5 years in a row of ECF and finals appearances. Run it back.

  5. To say you want Jaylen gone is to say you don’t want a dynasty and you want a quick one ring chip like the lakers in 2020. That’s not how we roll in New England. Guy with the gray hair in the middle is speaking way too emotional and is just being a baby, this team will develop more they are only 25 and 26

  6. Here’s my take thinking out loud here: I’d say they run it back. They should play the playoffs the same way they play in the regular season because the bench got more involved and it help boosted the positive fun energy playing together. That’s the strategy I’d want to watch throughout the playoffs. I may be the minority in my thinking.

  7. Brad this is a business. You hired a rookie, when the team needed a Veteran presence that will hold players accountable and not tell them I love you all the damn time..

  8. Everyone keeps saying we need to change the core, but nobody is talking about trading Marcus Smart. He’s been here longer than anyone and every year in the biggest games he gives us nothing. Not even hustle or leadership. We need a leader at that position someone who can get Tatum and Brown the ball in there spots so there not taking 11 dribbles before they get a shot off.

  9. Having balls would’ve been not firing the coach, that got you to the finals and gave you a winning identity. All because your buddies wife was willingly having an affair with Ime and he was all broken up about it. Wyc

  10. They need to find a mix that makes up for Tatum's mental frailty/weakness and general gutlessness if they want to be genuine contenders. Running it back won't win a title.

  11. Keep running it back every year. As a Laker fan that will help us get banner 18 before you guys. Good strategy. I endorse it. Keep the same team and the exact same coaching staff & run the same plays & play the same low IQ basketball in the clutch.

  12. Keep the Coach , Keep Brown go get a Big to help . Maybe add a True point to give spot minutes to keep Smart .

  13. Trade Brown, not worth max contract.
Retire Horford. Give Mazulla one more chance. He did well for a rookie coach.

  14. Wake up. I think Brad is a quality human being. But he’s too soft . He’s going to fail as a GM for the reasons he failed as a coach. He’s loyal to a fault. Joe sucks. Sorry, but we’ve seen enough. A Coach’s number one job is to make the sum better than the parts. Period. Joe made the sum much worse than the parts. He’s Horribly uncreative and Thin skinned. According to Brad , Joe is always working to improve . Wonderful. But is he any Good? Like right now? Any reasonable person who has watched the Celtics would say he’s terrible, and the most generous thing you can say is that he’s a work in progress. Surround him with more qualified assistants you say ? How about get a more qualified head coach to lead this multi million dollar Franchise. This isn’t NBA head coach University. Wyc has to get someone with balls to help Brad. And I mean no disrespect to Brad. He’s brilliant and is valuable to the franchise, but he ain’t got what it takes to make the hard choices. He’s going to drive this train off a Cliff.

  15. At this point this team needs a renovation. You have 2 all nba guys but you have to retool around them. This team is fundamentally flawed and it’s deeper than just talent. It’s personalities, intangibles, and IQ… Joe isn’t the best coach for the job but I understand wanting to sustain some level of continuity… Moves are needed to breathe new air into this team and if there isn’t any the Celtics will remain stagnant or regress…

  16. Joe Mazzulla did an admirable job as an interim coach thrust into the role in the eleventh hour. If he was walking out the door right now, I would sincerely wish him luck in his future ventures and thank him for his effort.

The problem is Second-Row Joe isn't going anywhere because he was signed to a three-year extension in February. If the organization wanted to reward him for the team's performance before the All-Star game, take the word interim off his title. He hadn't proved anything and had yet to earn a multi-year deal. If Mazzulla was unsigned heading into the offseason, how long would you think the suitors' line would be outside his door?

Joe Mazzulla showed his true nature in the post-game interview following game seven of the Conference Finals. He is stubborn and highly defensive. Celtics fans deserved to hear why his system failed this season, and why is he so enamored with the trey?

Those of us who watched game one of the Finals were presented with a clinic on how to defeat the Miami Heat. The answer is simplistic, you drive the lane and go for the hoop. When the Denver Nuggets heeded that advice, they dominated the contest for 36 minutes. In the final quarter, they tried settling for low-percentage treys that clanged off the rim. Miami started to sneak back into the game, but the Joker took the matter into his own hands, driving to the hoop and widening the lead. Nuggets took the series opener 104-93, a feat that the Green Team was fully capable of.

Everybody loves the Opie Cunningham charm of Brad Stevens. However, he is the one that signed Mazzulla to the extension. He needs to make it clear to his bench boss that he prefers the dunk and that this squad needs to be a defense-first team. The Celtics had a bar they had to at least meet, making it to the Finals. They failed to achieve that even though they had the best roster in the Association.

  17. use triangle offense which would fit Tatum and brown as it perfectly fit Mj and pippen bcoz they have the same position

  18. Starting five:

    Brogdon
    Brown
    Tatum
    Gallinari (hope he's 100%)
    Rob Williams

    Off the bench:
    D. White

The rest trade for better pieces. Yes, including Marcus Smart.

  19. They need 3 things… a hard-ass coach to discipline this team, a true point guard, and a babysitter so Tatum isn't hanging with his kid on the court before every game.

  20. When the players stop using their game as a political statement, they will win! Until you address this, you won't win! You need players who just want to win rather than use their position and game for political activism, period!

  21. Wyc thank you so much for telling this team what they are, except you forgot the "brainless" and "no plan" part, these players DISGUST me and I WILL NOT watch this gutless team next year, done with them if it's the same team same coach. I love what you did now fired everyone
