Here's why Jokic is the best basketball player in the world…in these playoffs he's averaging 30-13-11, he broke Wilt Chamberlain's 56 year record for triple-doubles in a single postseason, he's got two MVP nods, he's already established himself as the best passing big ever and may be on track to becoming the GOAT in dropping dimes, and he's money in the playoffs. He only has one conceivable weakness and that's on defense, which he's vastly improved, by light-years. Both Shaq and Hakeem have said Jokic is an all-time great center. More so than anyone currently in the NBA, Jokic makes his teammates better… Aaron Gordon, Bruce Brown, and KCP are all playing the best basketball of their careers, Jamal Murray feasts because Jokic demands constant double teams along with them being the best pick & roll combo since Shaq and Kobe.. I've been watching professional team sports and the feal around Jokic career is similar to the feal of the ascendancy of Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Mario Lemieux, Sidney Crosby, Alexander Ovechkin, etc. Is Jokic in the same stratosphere as Michael Jordan, Jerry Rice, Tom Brady, or Wayne Gretzky? No, nobody' is. Is it conceivable that he can climb that high and sit beside the gods? Yes, so let's just appreciate his greatness because we may NEVER see anything like him again.
