His shot reminds me of OG. Very stiff. Rotation on the free throws too. Not something we’d like to see at 13. If we picked 15-20 range? Sure.
I don’t get the comments from people thinking this kid is offensively smooth. He’s the polar opposite of fluidity right now. His upside is mostly his motor, athleticism, and size (wingspan mostly) for potential. Hes a full on project pick. He bullies with his length under the basket in a few moves in the video, just like OG does today.
As a cutter and slasher this guy will excel. He needs a fuckton of work to develop a jumper and three point shot. Also needs mechanical work on that form. This isn’t an offensively ready player by any stretch.

Nothing really moved me from this tape except the missed dunk attempt. Looks athletic as hell.
I’m just so sick of project players man. And the one time they went for a guy who was supposed to be polished it was Malachi.

I like the idea of drafting him at No. 13 more and more. I don’t want to throw the Giannis comp out too much because that’s unfair, but he’s smooth as hell in these highlights with a nice shooting stroke.
