That trade scenario involving DeRozan is ok if you don’t include the 5th pick. I rather keep the pick straight up instead of DeRozan & take my chances on a free agent. I know we’re not going to get an All Star in free agency but I feel that #5 pick should be apart of our core going forward. There’s no need to rush the process just bc we got Monty. He’s here for at least 6yrs

Most controversial acceleration move that still makes is signing Porzingis in the case of him opting out and solidifying the frontlines and stop investing in unknowns in Wiseman and Bagley. He just had a career year, but stupid Pistons fans would still scoff at the idea of signing a guy for 30 mil, despite it being only a 3+1.
Don't look as Monty as a saver but as a vital piece to a bigger puzzle.

I respectfully disagree with Great Rod Beard; I believe Cam Whitmore at 5 may be a starter in the second half, if not from day 1! He has superb athleticism, defense that this team needs and can shoot 3s at 35%. He will be a good wing player for now and future.

HONESTLY, who I’m most excited for is Killian.. I hope coach Monty is the coach to really unleash Killians potential. I think Killian is a good player: he try’s on defense, he’s a really good floor general getting his teammates open looks, best handles on the team too.

With all due respect, Rod’s first two takes are off. He didn’t report on this. When the Pistons originally reached out, they were merely gauging interest. Second, does this actually speed up the timeline? They gave him 6 years. They are starting a 19 yo center and a backcourt of 21 yos
