While the Nuggets took a commanding lead in the 3rd quarter, Coach Nick identified some soft spots in Denver’s game that the Heat can exploit to get back in this series in Game 2.

u cant win if u rely in 3 pt. if u have multiple miss 3s dont force it. i rather than force to drive even if i blocked at least a have a higher chance to have a bucket or create a fool.
Heat shot 2 free throws and missed a hell of a lot of shots. Doubtful that happens another 3 games. If they make half of those missed shots they win. During the season Denver won game 1 by 5 after trailing until the 4th and won game 2 by 4 after taking the lead in the 2nd both winnable games. Heat can definitely win this series.
Little misspeak at 7:10 coach: “the nuggets don’t have anyone who can guard Gordon”
nothing beats the og music
They have ZERO Hope
The hear could just play their center and let bam guard Aaron
As a Heat fan, I can see us winning if the role players make their shots and execute on defense. Bam is being aggressive is encouraging but even better when he's passing and defending, I don't need him to score too much. Martin needs to be a little better, if he is 15 point a game we can match with MPJ's scoring. Jimmy has to equal either Jamal or Jokic in points, he has to better than last round. Jokic's passing is too amazing, we have no shot if he is distributing freely. Heat is great at picking up passes, steals and deflecting, so I can see them getting better as the series goes on. Now, Tyler Herro was a 20 pt a game guy this season, 6 man last season, he can give you more talent and scoring that is desperately needed. I think attacking Jamal Murray and Jokic a bit has to be part of the offensive plan to tire them out even more, Jokic is in peak conditioning and will be tough.
If I am Denver, I am not worried at all. The altitude will be a bit of a factor and the bully ball of Jokic and Aaron Gordon is too much, will tire the Heat out. Aaron Gordon is strong and can bully everyone but Bam on the paint. Jokic can dominate even more, he did not look up to score last game because he was igniting the team, he's creating offense anyway. Nuggets can shoot better.
"the nuggets are too big and too deep" 🤨
This match up feels like Shaq and Kobe vs the 01 Sixers or 02 Nets
Field Jovic on AG then.
The thing you're missing is that Miami has to force switches on offense to get their shots and that leaves them in bad mismatches on the defensive end since the Nuggets push the ball so much. Denver has offensive players who can score on anyone the Heat have, but the reverse isn't true. So Denver will have mismatches in their favor on every offensive possession (and even if everyone is on the correct man, they still have a +1 on Gordon who can't be guarded by anyone on Miami.
I mean sure, Nuggets could shoot 29% for 3pt again and Heat could shoot 45% and Heat could win that 1 game, but that's pretty much it. I don't see this going past 5. I think biggest chance for Heat to win is 4th game of series. I expect 20 point blowout in game 2. Lakers were a better team and Nuggets swept them, regression gonna hit hard on this Heat, Nuggets may finish this season with longest winning streak of Jokic's carrier which would be hilarious. Getting a title on 10 game winning streak, his longest is I think 8 or 9.
Heat doesn't stand a chance
Max left like 20 pts off the board and they still hung around game 2 should be better
One man: Jimmy Butler. He needs to step up and lead the way if they’re going to win. He’s their so called best player and he was invisible in game 1. When he takes over the role players will gain confidence and knock down those wide open shots that they missed in game 1.
Yeah the lakers also said they figured something out and Hamm said “we’ll be fine trust me” we all know how that ended 😂😂😂. Nothing wrong with having a little hope I guess but its not happening. It’s a gentleman sweep at best
There's hope because we've finished one game in a seven game series. All over, move along, nothing to see here.
? DID PEOPLE FORGET 1 thing HERRO COMING BACK GM2 OR GM 3
MEANING THE HEAT OFFENSE WILL RESET BACK & PLACE
MEANING MAX OR MARTIN GO BACK II THE BENCH
MEANING JIMMY X BAM WONT HAVE II PLAY 2/2 BASKETBALL
MEANING FLOOR SPACING SHOT CREATOR COMES ON THE COURT
THAT WAY YOU CAN RUN NATURAL DEFENSE & GET INTO YOUR OFFENSE FASTER
Martin strus and Duncan shot horribly something like 2 for 20 something on good looks was the difference, give nuggets credit they capitalized
If my Nuggets can win tonight it might be GG for the Heat. If MPJ, Jokic, Murray, KCP and Gordon give 90%-100% then its game over cause thats too many weapons to stop.
Shut up bro! Heat in 5 baby
For everyone watching this vid and thinking that the Heat players missed a lot of open threes compared to the Nuggets and that's why they lost, here is a tidbit of information for you:
On open looks from three (defender 4ft away from the shooter or more)
Heat: 37%, 30 attempts
Nuggets: 32%, 19 attempts
So the Heat shot better than the Nuggets from three, when they were open on more attempts.
Shooting variance was not why the Heat lost.
Why didn’t the Heat play Duncan Robinson? He’s been on fire and Strus struggled all game. It makes no sense
The fact that the heat cut the lead to 9 even tho shooting terribly is scary, if they have better shooting nights, they win the chip
Hello
I feel like the altitude gets to the players. Of course we cant take away credit from nuggets being this good
Pipe dreams bro. I love the HEAT culture and I been following Jimmy since the early days but this is over. Nuggets held them by 60 in 3 quarters. Nuggets in 5
Title: “Why the heat have hope”
Video: “the heat are hopeless”
What hope jahaha
I don’t see the Nuggets losing this series. As much as people say the Heat are just missing shots, the Nuggets shot worse from 3 than the Heat and still won. The Nuggets have the best 1-2 punch, size, shooting, athleticism, better bench, and good coaching. They always have an answer to any run.
No clue why the Heat got rid of KZ Okapala for nothing. 6'9 with a 7'2 wingspan would have been a great help defensively. They should also try Omer Yurtseven over Cody Zeller
I love seeing both teams playing unselfish basketball at the highest level, I wish they could both win the championship this year 😢
There’s no coming back for Miami. The Nuggets shot worse from 3 than the Heat did and that def won’t happen again and Miami won’t have an answer for the Nuggets transition offense. The matchups favor Denver too heavily when Jokic runs the break. Miami is a fun team to watch but they aren’t on the Nuggets level. This series could be over in 4.
Reminds me of the Lakers after that game 1 😂😂😂😂😂
They do have a lot of size on Miami, but no team is unbeatable…Mule hight altitude ain't no joke they were hitting all them 3 in Boston at sea leavel
1. Denver matches up well against the Heat. Their size, their ability to defeat zone defense and the fact there is too much variety with Jokic on offense makes it a mismatch.
2. Nuggets are battled tested, both the Suns and Lakers are better teams than Heat and I believe would have defeated them in the finals and the Nuggets were the better team in the 10 games they played against them (were a net + with Jokic on the floor in every one of those games). The "trap" series against the Timberwolves, the Nuggets handled it with ease.
3. Undoubtedly Jokic is the best player in this series. Even if his shot doesn't fall, the playmaking and basketball IQ are too much of an asset. There was a clear flaw with Giannis, Tatum and Brown that could be exploited, not with Jokic. Sure he isn't a defensive prowess but over 100 possessions, he adds too much value on offense and doesnt get into foul trouble for defense to matter so in close games, he ramps up his defense and he's been pretty clutch in late game situations this season.
4. These are the playoffs, both teams are locked in. Defense is more of a mentality and the Nuggets stepped up in that regard, not sure you can step up offensively beyond being incredibly hot shooting the ball. The Nuggets are just more superior offensively.
I think Nuggets in 5 is the safe bet. I thought it was quite an average performance for them in game 1. Jokic played his usual self but considering he dropped 51 against the Suns and most of his points came in the 4th quarter, he can still score a lot more.
The music ❤️🎶
The heat r unable to force turn overs there offense is doing half court vs a set deffnese
Denver shot poorly too. That's not gonna happen again, either.
Herro, Lowery and Vincent will make those off the dribble 3s vs Jokic' deep drop
Gordon is freakin huge man lol.
So, this is gonna be the last video of the finals if Nuggets win it, like in the Lakers series?
Why Don't Love start at Power forward that way Gordon can work on Defense. Love can stretch the floor and he has footwork, so that can utilize him. And plus the Heat can get more scoring… I would have Lowry come off the bench and start the game with a tall line up for Miami
There was a lack of help on Gordon because everyone else on the Nuggets is a good shooter. Help off anyone of them and the ball swings for an open 3.
Heat in 6.
Heat in 5
cool, now breakdown how the nuggets 4 best 3pt shooters shot well under 30% from 3 instead of their average at over 40% The Heat shot exactly their season average from 3, the Nuggets shot 10% under their season average
1. Heat needs to get Love into the rotation to alleviate the pressure of lack of size against Gordon
2. This is a Lowry series because he appears to attack best against Nuggets' greatest weakness – Jokic in high PnR
This Heat team lives and dies by the 3s. That's it.
