Crazy to me that he’s played for so many teams. He’s like this generations Jim Jackson. Borderline starter quality player that somehow never sticks anywhere.

NBA role player wants stability. More at 11.

This whole team, except maybe Thomas Bryant, have brought in. Just seems like there is a really positive culture and a lot of love and mutual respect on this team. Kudos to Coach Malone and the whole organization. Gives me Warriors type vibes. The team definitely needed a veteran presence like him. His Player’s Tribune article on May 31st was great. My girlfriend was in tears after reading it.
Guy has almost played for as many teams as Nick Cannon has kids. Impressive.

Jeff brought in DJ and Bruce Brown. I know he loves the professionalism and lack of drama. When the Nuggets did have a stray personality this year (Bones) they just took care of it and shipped him out. Denver is a nice city to live in, but doesnt ha e the crazy media of larger markets. The locker room is really positive and cohesive. Jeff has also coached multiple practices this year, so he may be looking at the next stage of his life and has a great relationship with the existing coaching staff. Nuggets are about basketball first. Too many things fit right.

He’s in the finals and he’s giving an interview to local Denver media, it would be a surprise if he said he’d rather play somewhere else.

and tbf, there’s not a whole lot of money for him to go out seeking. might as well stick with the personal stability, team success and role that he has in denver
Stormeve
If he can convince Bruce to stay another year so the Nuggets can pay him big bucks after that one year, he’ll be a legend (tbh he’s already so big for us for playing a part in convincing Bruce to come here in the first place)
That being said if I was Bruce I’d just get the bag immediately this offseason, you never know what could happen

Damn I still have his Celtics jersey when he was the clear best player on that team lol

Nuggets team clearly benefits having Jeff Green.
RabidLabradoodle
He should probably retire at the end of this year, then he’d control retiring a Nugget!
scrame
They should bring back the sonics and let him retire there.

According to spotrac he has a player option next year that he’s already opted into. His contract is the minimum now – he’ll be 37 next season. It’s been 11 years now since his potentially-career-ending heart defect was discovered and operated on.

Yes attaching himself to Jokic for as long as he can is a smart move, he’s got a perfect role for them right now

Honestly, probably the dude I’m happiest to see win it on the nugs. To watch him for his whole career and appreciate his game, see him overcome his heart issue, what a journey to see culminate in a potential title. Love it

I, too, would want to end my storied tenure on the team with the best chance to win championships

Fascinating career. He’s always been JUST good enough to get minutes on contending teams but never quite good enough to earn a long time role on any of them.

Don’t be a quitter Jeff you can make all 30
