Like, can Boston offer Brown $250M instead of $300M, which is more than any other team can offer him but isn’t as crippling as $300M?

My conspiracy theory is that all non-Celtics fans want Boston to trade JB because deep down they know the Celtics won’t be a contender if he isn’t in the squad. Trying to separate one of the best duos in the NBA is more likely to go wrong than not imo…

The issue with that second trade whilst interesting is that
1. Boston is not a free agent destination
2. Guys like Horford, Smart, White make too much for us to go sign a great great free agent even if one viewed Boston as their ideal destination.
I see the appeal in trading Brown but i think the risk is too high id prefer to run this back and trade Brown when the Tatum max comes up in 2 years
