Don’t trust a small Twitter account dedicated to European basketball to provide some unbiased, insider info on the coaching search.

I’m getting PTSD of Bryan Colangelo’s European free agency shopping spree

the raps leaning towards a European coach does make sense even if this doesn’t seem too credible, Masai went on about culture and selfishness quite a bit before firing nurse and European ball is team first always

This is kind of off topic, but how are coaches able to coach for a country that they don’t claim nationality and/or citizenship of? Sergio coached Team Spain even though he’s Italian. Nick Nurse coaching Canada even though he’s American (and doesn’t have Canadian citizenship to my knowledge), Jordi Fernandez being an assistant with Team Nigeria even though he’s Spanish, and Mike Brown being the head coach even though he’s American. Are the rules just different for coaches or do all of these guys have existing connection to those countries that I don’t know about?

Lol some of you need to watch European basketball. It’s a real treat. Coaches don’t give a fuck who you are. If you play shit, you get yelled at and benched. You legitimately can see a future NBA player being removed from the game after 10 minutes of play time because they can’t follow instructions or can’t get buckets. It’s VERY different basketball.
