I wonder if Nick nurse was self sabotaging the raptors this whole season . Was Fred in on the horrible game plan for the season. Idk but things felt off the whole year.Why join a team that you made things difficult for when playing against them. Is it because Masai is not a push over and will not let him have a ridiculous amount of control . Nurse is leaving a team in serious decline and trouble. Perhaps joint blame with management is a fair assessment but Nurse is definitely on the hook for poor player time management and favoring ineffective players such as FVV. Can't believe a team like Philly with championship aspirations has hired him.
Rumours that FVV will join Nurse in Philly makes sense. The new Raptor coach is not going to play Fred for 40 minutes a game which means Fred's poor play will be accentuated. This will affect his new contract negotiations. Nurse will also need Fred to lead his offence in Philly.
Philly fans sound open minded to signing FVV… I wish y’all would 🤣

Nick Nurse is an interesting case shows us some interesting life lessons. When you are passionate about what you do, and you're driven to succeed in what you do, when you finally get there you sometimes can't help but become stubborn…because you've done it your way your entire life and had success…. I haven't read NN's book but I know he is a life long learner and a real smart cookie…so the one thing he knows how to do is look in the mirror. Based on his belief system and his track record, I believe he will learn from his Toronto mistakes and get better. NN didn't have to load manage anyone in Toronto but in Philly that's a different story so he's going to have to rely on this bench…you'd think lol.
Nick choosing Philly makes sense. I think the key difference with PHI is that Nurse sees a bonafide all star sitting on the bench in Maxey waiting to emerge. Harden can stay or go and they will use his salary space to attract another stud. You also have shooting in PHI which you didn't have in Toronto which is essential for ANY offence Nurse likes to use.
Fred can’t come to Philly if harden leaves. That’s not how the salary cap works lol

I’m in the minority saying this. But I stand by my opinion on firing Nick Nurse was the wrong move. 76ers couldn’t wait to fire Doc to scoop him up! We’ll see that this year when our roster stays the same and players like Flynn, precious and Gary play the exact same way the did last year.
The pressure is on Nick Nurse to get the 76ers pass the 2nd round since 2001.
