The Miami Heat Are Breaking All the Rules.

The Miami Heat managed to hold off the Boston Celtics from making a 3-0 comeback, securing their second trip to the NBA Finals in five years, their first appearance since the 2020 NBA Bubble Finals.

The Miami Heat have executed despite not having a star-studded roster outside of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Head Coach Erik Spoelstra is making a convincing case to be the best coach in the entire league, putting players like Caleb Martin and Gabe Vincent into positions where they can succeed. The Caleb Martin game 7 performance was what ultimately helped elevate them to the win. Erik Spoelstra managed to navigate the Gabe Vincent injury masterfully.

The success of guys like Caleb Martin highlights the importance of maximizing undrafted talent and knowing how to use guys in ways that maximizes their strengths. The Miami Heat do this arguably better than any other team in the NBA. It’s what made Heat vs Celtics such a contentious matchup, and why the Celtics had such a hard time handling it.

Even guys like Haywood Highsmith getting significant run, defending premiere players like Jayson Tatum, is a testament to how the Miami Heat keep a big toolbox of players for any given scenario. Even when Jimmy Butler was struggling, they had guys who could step up. Jayson Tatum’s injury was certainly something that might’ve helped, but the Boston Celtics just didn’t step up. This win officially made them the first 8th seed in NBA history to make the NBA Finals in a non-lockout season.

  1. Who you got winning the Finals and in how many games?

Edit: Also, would like to apologize for not uploading in a little over a week. Was in the process of moving through the end of last week and all throughout the weekend. Today is the first day I've really been able to sit down and work again. Appreciate y'all being patient, excited to get back to it!

  2. when derrick jones jr declined the heat caleb took his spot he has the ability to defend, miami scouting player is good just like hassan whiteside era when the time he can't play miami let bam play and bam has a potential that's what heat culture is they want a player that can play undrafted or drafted just like kendrick nunn , when he decline miami he can't play now..because miami heat give their players confident to play not for the stats..

  3. This team is a lot more interesting than LeFlop's. Real basketball.. Love this "no excuses, just get it done" mentality of the heats

  4. The Heat's undrafted players hopefully revives the NCAA's division II and division III players entering the NBA and making an impact.

  5. unwritten shit cant be broken. theres no rules saying teams cant win. nor does history mean shit to the present

  6. Spoelstra was the director of scouting before he became the head coach. He is knowledgeable in finding the strength of his players and using it at the appropriate time.

  7. The experts are predicting Denver in 5, but I think it will be a lot closer and can go either way.

  8. Who even this type of stereotype "role player", "undrafted" and so on … look like secret society where only a certain range of folks can win award besaused they are labeled this or that

  9. I saw this video title and thought you were going to talk about how Bam makes a moving screen on every play

  10. Spo came from the film room and became a head coach because he showed a special uniqueness. Difference between pro player coaches and student of basketball coaches. Imagine lebron coaching, if he was actually able to pass down all his IQ onto a teamโ€ฆ. Probably wouldnโ€™t be able to and more than likely would wouldnโ€™t have ALOT of success but itโ€™s fun to wonder.

This is an objective take, not a born sexual take. Take your MJ sucking attitude somewhere rlse

  11. Also: switching it up and having Robinson act as a cutter, which he did really well, was a nice wrinkle as well.

  12. Martin is basically in Jae crowder/P.j Tucker role which is to defend the opponents best player and knock down 3's. but he's too efficient and looks like a star player out there.

  13. Students: The Importance of Facts

Several students talked about what they got out of the documentary: Monica Elavarthi (left), Chandana Elavarthi (middle), and Emily Lewie (right).

Chandana Elavarthi from the Rotary Club is an undergraduate student majoring in medical diagnostics. She thought the event was very important. โ€œI feel one of the most appalling things is, weโ€™re always taught about medical ethics and being very aware of how youโ€™re treating your patients, so it was scary to see a lot of these doctors who are knowingly doing these, like murdering, in China,โ€ she said. She hopes the U.S. passes laws to end such tragedies.

Another member of the Rotary Club, Monica Elavarthi, is in the MBA program. โ€œI was very surprised to see just the sheer number of the forced organ transplants,โ€ she remarked. โ€œIโ€™m glad that we were able to host this event. I hope that weโ€™re going to be able to host more events in the future to bring awareness of that too horrible crime.โ€

Emily Lewie, a senior in English and linguistics, was also appalled by the documentary. โ€œI had no idea that anything of that scale was going on anywhere in the world. I was just shocked to hear that kind of thing is happening. It was just awful,โ€ she said, adding she would write articles to inform more people about the situation in China.

Student Davern Whitehurst said the event was very informative.

Davern Whitehurst, a sophomore in landscape architecture, commented that the activity was very informative. โ€œI think it should be taught more, like in class,โ€ he explained. โ€œI actually want to talk about this in my next [school] assignment.โ€

Several students from China also watched the documentary and stayed for the forum. One of them said she had heard about the persecution back in China. She signed a petition calling for an end to the forced harvesting of organs from Falun Gong practitioners.

  14. Absolutely tremendous video. As a player and coach, I have preached this my whole life. Glad to see it in my son.

  15. Well said point at 2:42 about shot creation. Always say Miami's offensive style reminds me of Villanova. Dribble penetration heavy with emphasis on shooting when you have space
