  1. I'd say the chances are better than not they end up making a trade to get a 1st round point guard

  2. Definitely agree with your assessment about having Keldon come off the bench, excellent reasoning.
As for the trade, it was a fun exercise and who knows what will happen. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me, lol!

  3. Spurs Receive:

    Pick #6
    Pick #11

    Magic Receive:

    Keldon Johnson
    Pick #33
    Pick #44
    A 2028 first rd pick

    __________________________

With Pick #6 – We either draft Cason Wallace, or Ausar Thompson

With Pick #11 – We draft Dereck Lively

We get the PG to build with Wembanyama, We also get a C that can grow next to Wembanyama

    If it goes through
    Starting lineup:

    PG: Wallace/Thompson
    SG: Devin
    SF: SOCHAN
    PF: Wembanyama
    C: Lively

  4. I kinda think we need a power forward. Tre could run the point. Even tho he’s a bit smaller he still plays great defense and already knows the system . If he could just work on 3 point an be pretty ok that would work. Move Keldon 3 to the bench with Graham/Westly 1 Branham 2, and Bassey/Barlow/Mamu 5. So that means a back up 4 would be best I think. Collins 5, Wemby 4, Sochan 3, Vassel 2, Tre 1. Is there a Serge Ibaka type available. To make up for the bench’s wing defenders shortcomings.

  5. You could get pick 3 if you give up Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell but I think Blazers want more than thatv

  6. I'd prefer we hold off. Personally I think we should start Victor off the bench and just avoid the first 8 minutes of each game. Even if it's just for the first 20 games. Think like what the Lakers did with Koby. Yeah he was 18 straight outta high School. But Victor is only 19 with no 4 years of college ball and a very very tall and slender frame. TAKE IT SLOW!

  7. Rich, thx for the video. Got to say your idea makes sense. Orlando would do better trading that pick away. If Spurs were to get #3 they would definitely need to trade Keldon.

Yes, Keldon should come off the bench. He is a terrible defender. Look, if Manu was willing to come off the bench Keldon should have no problem. If he does then trade him! The key guys are Sochan, Collins (as Wemby does t want to play 5), & Devin. There is no way Spurs are trading any of those guys.

Pls keep the videos coming. Love your work and enthusiasm

  8. I'd rather keep Tray Jones. Nothing about this kid stands out to me. We need Scoot or Amen to contend quickly!

  9. Hi TSR Sports! Love your mock draft pick selections! A guard that could pair with our generational big man is the key to success in building this team. Just look at the Nuggets.

  10. For reference, just last year the OKC Thunder acquired the 11th overall pick from the Knicks. They gave up 3 first round picks, but two of them were top 14 protected and the other was top 18 protected. Giving up a top 6 protected first plus TWO unprotected firsts just to acquire the 11th pick is absolutely insane. Why would the Spurs ever do something like this? That's the kind of haul you give up to move into the top 3, not to 11. And you think the Spurs might have to give up more?! Come on now. Keep in mind, Atlanta gave the Spurs a lottery-protected first plus two unprotected 1sts for DJM, who was coming off an all-star appearance. So you think the 11th pick in this draft is worth as much as an established PG in his prime? That's now how this works. They might as well use those three firsts to get a young, established player from another team.

  11. Biggest problem with Hood schfino is the same one Trey Jones has. He can't shoot the 3.. Not good

  12. Trading for the No. 11 pick and selecting Cason Wallace is the exact scenario I’d have drawn up.

  13. Rich remember my Texans got the 2nd and 3rd overall pick this 2023 draft and they drafted CJ stroud and Will Anderson and my spurs and rockets are gonna have good rookies I’m excited

  14. It isn't worth it! No reason to give up so much future draft capital for a swing at a young player who may not pan out. Sorry, but I'm still a little raw over the Josh Primo fiasco. Please don't come back with the baloney that we need a player that matches our "timeline" (don't get me started). I'd rather start the year with the team we have and see how things play out before using/wasting all the hard earned options we've collected to date. If we NEED a new point guard next year, I'd rather wait see what our options are in NEXT YEAR's draft, free agent or trade markets.

  15. If we don’t get Scoot or Amen Thompson … I think we should wait for next year and trade for a good pick

  16. Whoaa! 2 "unprotected" 1st rounders and 1 top six protected for a #11 lottery pick?! Talk about desperate! No, HELL no! You usually post good insights, but this trade idea sucks.

  17. I'd rather get Cason Wallace. To me the only 3 that are worth moving up for and Amen, Cason, and of course Scoot.

  18. Cason Wallace is such a great defender he could be our 6 man in a couple years and our best perimeter defender

  19. It'll be interesting to see what SA does with all of their draft capital. The future is bright regardless

  20. Hood-Schifino makes sense in terms of what we know B-Wright likes, but most of the talk is centered around Amen Thompson and Wallace. And moving Keldon to 6th man makes the most sense, unless they make a serious effort to move Jeremy to point-forward.

  21. 100% if the Spurs want they can get either 4/5/6/10/11 pretty easily. Rockets and Detroit should be okay with future picks, so should Orlando, and most certainly Dallas could be persuaded to give us that 10th pick they don't want for a vet or two. The goal is Amen Thompson and its been pretty clear he's the only guy they really want to fill in that PG spot so they are focused on getting top 5 pick. I think tune into draft night cause shit will get wild

  22. Too much… Any lottery pick has a chance of getting the #1 pick and/or moving up so I'd only trade Charlottes' 1st rounder, take in a bad contract and/or move the veterans. So SAS has to keep it's potential top 14 lottery picks AND I think SAS will get LUCKY again and will get a lucky draw with Toronto's, etc…. More likely to give away their own pick 2025 onward as I think SAS will be competing from 2024 onward. Also as SAS gets "better" teams less likely to trade so better to make a move for as many 1st round picks this year while other teams aren't suspecting…. There are several payers SAS could/should try to get this year and spread the payout over different years in the future coming up…
