Joel is extremely injury prone, has shown to be a no show in elimination games and the Celtics and Bucks both coming back for revenge tours next season I think trading Joel is lowkey the best option.
What’s the point of running it back just to be eliminated in the second round by the Celtics again?

I don’t think he can be the anchor of the defense and at the same time the most important offensive player on the floor at all times.
Probably not, but we don’t really have a choice unless Maxey takes another leap.
Can we not have a slight variation of such posts every day
We’ve had multiple of these threads since the loss to the Cs. There’s nothing new to add to what has already been discussed to death
Dude is a legitimate top 3 player on both ends, there’s no way we replace him with anyone better period
Believe it or not, Joel Embiid isn’t the first MVP caliber player to have struggles in the playoffs. He’s a consensus top 5 player. He’s a 2 way star. Yes you can win with him as a #1. BUT we do need another high caliber player to take that next leap. Look at Jamal Murray and what he’s done this postseason + the bubble playoffs. Having a player like that play that well that consistently alongside Jokic makes the Nuggets tough to beat. Harden had 2 amazing games, but was otherwise volatile and inconsistent.
Our fanbase is too emotional, though you can’t blame them with all the mismanagement our FO has done post Hinkie. You keep trying to build around Embiid. He needs to adjust a few things, but overall he’s a stud.
Hell yes. Needs to stay healthy and engaged and nobody is better.
He got his meaningless MVP out of the way and now he’s gotta hear how Jokic is still better for an entire summer. As dominant individually as he was last year, he and Nurse now need to figure out how to translate that into overall team dominance.
No but Shake Milton can
Well, if you don’t know the answer to that question you haven’t been watching this team play the last 5 years.
Not in the playoffs. Need more athleticism, endurance, and consistency than Joel’s been able to bring.
No.
Yes. But he cannot be the best defensive player and primary scorer all game every game. Especially as he ages and certainly not when he’s injured.
No
