[Erik Spoelstra] “Bam — we just can’t say enough about how difficult his responsibilities are in this series. To take arguably the toughest cover in the league and then he has to shoulder a big offensive role and play 40+ minutes as well.”

This is the type series that will determine whether the NBA media will continue to perceive Bam as a good defender but inconsistent player or elevate his image to a perennial All-Star/HOF-level player.

Either way, I’m happy to see him get off to a hot start in this series, especially after getting injured and missing 2 games at the beginning of the 2020 Finals.

Dude was practically a double agent for the Celtics for three quarters of game 7, and he’s just been fire the past 2.25 games.

This quote was way more telling and interesting than the stupid “untrained eyes” shit that this sub ran with. Not many people here really cares about insightful answers about basketball though, just wanna hear the drama.

Michael Malone whiny quotes being posted far more than Spoelstra’s insightful ones is so dumb & annoying.

If the heat somehow miraculously win the series, I hope Bam gets finals mvp.

Dude putting the team on his back on both ends of the floor and stupid ESPN forcing him to do all these post game interviews.

Bam is fired up and I’ve always felt like he’s best when he goes against better players, you can tell his energy shifts when he’s guarding someone of the Jokic caliber

Zeller alone is the reason the last point even exists, unfortunately.

Setting illegal screens is such a tough job

  8. Agent_Hibachi

He’s doing what AD was suppose to do on both ends. Mobile and strong enough to guard Jokic and the others. While also really going at Jokic in the short roll and slips. Something AD lacks because his speed and quickness have slowed down.

Pretty crazy how Miami just went back to that same action with Bam at the wing and then the 2 shooters playing in the corner.

Then later it was Bam setting the screens for Lowry, Gabe, Jimmy up at the top of the key, and being available as a roll man who can make the right read if he received the pass.

Denver’s communication on defense was absolute ass and Miami took full advantage.

It’s hard to win in playoff spots you’ve never been in before. Lotta times you gotta get there first, take your lumps and come back next year with a better understanding of what level your focus and discipline has to be to get what you want to achieve. There are only so few exceptions, like the 2015 Warriors, 2019 Raptors, although they had Kawhi, with championship experience.

I was on the side of the Nuggets and Jokic being too good ala Steph and the Warriors, but last night they made the same mistakes over and over again. KCP fouling 3 pt shooters, him and MPJ miscommunicating on defense, not knowing what their coverages were, whatever.

Credit to the Heat and Spo for putting them to the same test over and over again.

Me personally I woulda held Jokic to 39 points 👀

Eh, sounds like something an untrained eye would say…

  12. key to miami to win it all is consistency with their threes and breaking jokic’s pick and roll defense since it’s very effective going at it.

Bam would be the first Center since what? Shaq in 02’ to win FMVP **IF** we won the series? Giannis, Dirk, and Duncan are the only other big men to win it since then.

Gonna be some uncomfortable Top 3 big men conversations if he & the Heat pull it off.

  14. samarajan

Bam is cooking with no horford/rw3 in the paint

  15. “Well thats why the pay em the big bucks” – AD

  16. dolphingarden

He’s been the best Heat player in the series

  17. ILoveRegenHealth

    *(Zeller raises hand)*

“I can ease his burdens. Let me in Coach”

    *(Miami Heat fans shudder)*

  18. I was told by multiple heat fans that he was an untradeable contract. thought i was in the twilight zone

    3 MORE WINS 🏆 LET’S GO HEAT 🏀🔥

  20. Winter_7

Well they can’t play Zeller. Jokic destroys him.

  21. JRPaperstax

Bam has been great in this series, for sure

  22. JebusOfEagles

I like Bam a lot, that dude deserves a lot of credit.

  23. dpicks24

The amount of uncalled moving screens Bam gets away with is insane.

  24. Bubbly_Measurement61

Bam left his heart on the court games 1 AND 2

  25. itsahmemario

Bam has stepped up big time this series.

  26. Dontneedflashbro

Keep in mind too guys, that Bam is smaller than LeMuscle too! When the heat played LA earlier this season, LeDefense was guarding Bam on the defensive end. Bam was shorter and had less size compared to LeDemiGod. That fact that he’s guarding big fives like Joker and The Big Cooker is impressive! 💯
