Will the Sixers trade Tobias Harris this offseason?
I mean what are you really gonna get for Harris??? Comes down to what well get for him probably not better then what he is giving you..I know it isn't much but there really isn't an alternative
How would you feel if we were to trade Tobias Harris and Danuel House Jr. to the Jazz along with a 1st and 2nd round pick for next year for Jordan Clarkson, Lauri Markkanen, and Walker Kessler?
I'm not sacrificing any draft capital or Springer or Reid to unload Harris contract. Be patient, bite the bullet and keep him for 1 more season and we're done with bad contracts.
Timberwolves Get- Tobias Harris, Jaden Springer & maybe a 2nd round pick
76ers Get- Mike Conley,Kyle Anderson & Taurean Prince

then you have Conley & Melton as your bench guards & Prince as a solid bench piece. We also don't have to give away any 1st round picks in this deal. We may not even have to give away that 2nd round picks in this dea either. Mike Conley is 38 so this deal would start & end with Mike Conley's availability.
This trade doesn't put us over the top however as RB stated in this video Tobias Harris isn't going to give us much in a return.

If Morey had any 🏀s he'd sign James Harden, then use him in a package deal wif Tobias, PJ Tucker, & DH Jr to get back almost anything he wanted. Could send them to the Bulls for Lavigne, DeRozan, & Drummond, or run a 3 team trade wit Portland to add Lillard to that mix. Sixers have the assets to make a good deal, but you need brains at the wheel of the operation to get it done

In order of value to team on the court right now:
1. Embiid
2. Harden
3. Maxey
4. Tobias
5. Melton
And Morey plans to run it back with re-signing at least McDaniels and Reed and maybe Niang.
So why in the world would Morey want to move Tobias at this time?

The only reason would revolve around a need to reduce team salary in order to complete a Harden signing, without blowing through the 2nd Apron ($179.5 M). But any move to trade Tobias for this reason, would likely make the team worse.
Otherwise, Morey will re-evaluate at the trade deadline. Maybe John Collins will be wanting out again.
Otherwise Morey can wait to June and either re-sign him based on his value at that time (~15 M x 3 yrs) or let him leave and use those $ to go towards giving Maxey his ~30 M contract.
Tobias is a perfect fit for the Sixers, as a stretch 4 (shot 39% from 3 despite some slumps)
Tobias was the most consistent player in the Brooklyn series.
Tobias is probably the 2nd best defender of forwards on the team, next to Reed.

Tobias shot 57% from 2 pt, as he can create a shot in the paint when needed.
Tobias is one of the team leaders
Tobias will modify his game to satisfy the coach.
Lets me honest- the real reason for fans hating Tobias is because they incorrectly thought that because he is paid so much, that he is hurting the team. That is false and is no longer true, because he is expiring and he is valuable to the Sixers.
Tobias >>>>>>>>> PJ Tucker who should be easy to trade if 1/2 of what the Media has been saying about his "intangibles" was true.
And it should be much easier to move $11 M.

A guess you all realize now that FVV to Sixers was never realistic.
Bryan Toporek put in writing (on Liberty Ballers) what I had been saying.
TOR has no need for another PF, especially if retooling (ie S&T FVV) or rebuilding – also trading Siakam (to HOU for the #4 pic and more.)
And FVV has no leverage to force TOR to trade him into a Traded Player Exception created by S&T Harden to HOU (with at least 1 2nd rd pic. That is because I doubt any other team that has at least 30 M of true cap space, would spend it all on FVV.
So FVV would need TOR to facilitate a S&T that is best for TOR.
I still believe FVV will re-sign with TOR for around 28 M X 4 yrs. They will need a coach soon, however.
Why isn't Brand being let go because of this deal?

I believe the best option is trading Tobias to the Pistons for a package of Bojan Bogdanovic and Marvin Bagley. With the Pistons being a rebuilding team they would want an expiring contract that they could move later on. I'm not sure how Marvin Bagley will fit into our system, but Bojan does provide the spacing we need
