Mikal Bridges Playing For Team USA, Plus Kyrie Irving & LeBron James Teaming Up?

Mikal Bridges was chosen and committed to play for Team USA in the FIBA World Championships this summer, joining a team featuring Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, and Jalen Brunson among others. It’s another great sign in Bridge’s development, beginning to solidify that he’s among a group of rising young superstars. Doug Norrie breaks down the addition of Bridges and how some other Nets will be featured in the games.

Plus, he discusses the report that Kyrie Irving and LeBron James might be gauging the latter coming to Dallas in the offseason. It’s a wild piece of news that’s unlikely to come to fruition but highlights the potential craziness of this offseason.

  1. First congrats to Mikal Bridges for taking his new leadership role seriously and wanting to represent Brooklyn and the country of the USA this year at the FIBA world championship 🔥….

Ultimately Mikal Bridges expects to make more leaps this year and add even more versatility to his game….

  2. As far as this Kyrie Irving and LeBron James hoopla goes that's just it, it's hoopla. New CBA rules are taking effect next season and a team with LeBron James Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic from a financial aspect would not really work unless they took a significant pay cut…

But the fact Kyrie Irving doesn't trust a generational talent in Luka to lead the Mavs says a lot….

Also if Kyrie doesn't resign with the Mavs Luka Doncic is essentially left on an island alone and that would be a worst case scenario for him…

  3. Since we are talking about the Lakers Brooklyn could potentially do some business with them by potentially offering Joe Harris and patty Mills to the Lakers for Malik Beasley and Mo Bamba. Both players are on expiring contracts and could contribute to Brooklyn new core immediately.

Specifically Mo Bamba could be a long term project for Brooklyn given he has good rebounding and blocking skills. Under Brooklyn new player development coaching staff Brooklyn could help Mo Bamba offense improve more as well….

  4. I dont see how the mavs can even pull off that trade without being in dire financial trouble not even mentioning the fact that they dont have enough to offer LA for lebron

  5. If the Mavs traded for LeBron, that 2029 pick the Nets got in the Irving-Dinwiddie trade would be a whole lot more valuable.
