One of the last time the Mavericks were on an ESPN national broadcast, Jeff Van Gundy absolutely ripped Luka to shreds, so much so that even Mike Breen had to try and get him to take his commentary down a notch. Hopefully nobody pulls that tape right before the job interview.

On one hand I think jvg legit doesn’t even like basketball anymore and would not be a good coach, on the other it gets him off of hearing him nag about shit like a green light for coaches challenges on national TV for 2.5 hours.

His issues with Lawrence Frank when they were with the Nets shows that he isn’t an easy person to work with. His ego seems too big to let others he sees as beneath him to advance. I honestly don’t know why Cuban let him back in the organization after he burned the Mavs by reneging on his verbal agreement to re-sign with us. Way too many red flags around his character.
