  1. I donā€™t get your first point. The nuggets do the exact same thing and we rely on everyone on the team.

  2. JJ is the best basketball analyst in the game right now. And it's not even close. He sees and articulates the strategy with much greater detail and insight than anyone else.

ESPN needs to give him his own show or just give him the reigns to FirstTake. Then tell SAS to go follow his dreams of becoming a subpar actor. šŸ˜†

  3. Iā€™m buying it. The blueprint to beating this nuggets team or at least having the chance is by containing jokicā€™s playmaking. The lakers were doing the complete opposite and thatā€™s why they got swept. Each time jokic got to the ball they would double team him and the nuggets would get a wide open three. Guys like KCP, MPJ, Brown, Gordon got going because of that. And jokic would still get his 20-30 pointsā€¦ a little less efficiently. Let jokic score but contain everyone else around himā€¦ most of the nuggets role players are not ready for the finals yet. Itā€™s the first finals for most of them and they are gonna make mistakes and miss shots. Make Jokic look like one of the best centers of all time but donā€™t make the nuggets look like an amazing team. Thatā€™s how you beat them. Thatā€™s how the suns beat them twice and thatā€™s why the lakers got swept.

  4. I always love reading comments under these nba videos because everyone turns into a top notch sports analyst. Even though they havenā€™t shot a ball since they were a baby on a mini hoopšŸ¤¦šŸæā€ā™‚ļø

  5. jj you need a new co host, tommy is a yes man who only tries to please you. you need someone who you can actually have intelligent conversation with and not someone who only agrees with you and doesnt push you to think deeper about the game.

  6. The nuggets were a bit lazy and sloppy on defense. Especially KCP and Murray. Their feet often werenā€™t set or the rotation and communication were slow. The Nuggets were also unlucky with offense. The best way to overcome a zone is to shot over it and their shots were not falling. MPJ and Murray in particular just were really off.

  7. If a team can perfect a zone, itā€™s very hard to score on. I think more teams are gonna start running zone next season after watching the heat

  8. I wouldnā€™t say it was an effort issue, it was more like they just werenā€™t as engaged or sharp

  9. Jokic must be JJā€™s favorite player. Funny he voted Giannis for mvp

  10. I know the nba stopped me from rigging game 2 however Mike Malone admitted to rigging his team to play like that. And Caldwell Pope if he doesnt play better he will be one of the most hated players in Denver sports history.

  11. Its hard to overcome a 3pt shooting night like the Heat had. Also, if Spoelstras smart which he is, he wont go to this zone unless he has to. If Denver cracks it, the Heat will be in trouble. Denver was starting to figure it out late in the game. Spoelstra should only use it sparingly.

  12. This is exactly why I respect JJ. He actually talks sense instead of making up narratives. He calls it like it is & he speaks from a place of knowledge.

  13. Nuggets need to be stronger psychologicaly, they would have won the game if they didnt become so uncomfortable. So many stupid fouls and when they shoot in second half you can see the tightness in the shooting motion, they overshot everything with too much strenght. Keep yourself calm and collected, it has always been the most important thing in the nba finals.

  14. Im just saying JJ literally agreed that the Heat played the "make jokic a scorer" game last episode. And now he is saying people are silly for saying that?

  15. Jj you literally said at the start of your post game reaction "The heat clearly made jokic a scorer. We saw the assists drop from 14 to 4". But then spo says it's a bad take and you completely switch up

  16. How come I never saw a JJ breakdown of how the Heat HUMILIATED Giannis and the Bucks, a guy JJ and others try to say is a "top 3 player" ? Did I miss that video dissecting how Giannis is basically a liability to his team in close games because he can't space the floor, can't hit FTs, and teams can keep fouling Giannis to get back in games? Or did JJ sweep that under the rug?

  17. Murray was absent for three quarters yesterday. MPJ and KCP need to get their act together. Joker, Christian Braun and Jeff Green were the only ones who showed up

  18. Great representation of this generation just saying whatever, game one butler 13 points lose by 11 ,game 2 butler 21 points they win by 3ā€¦ has nothing to do with jokic having 40šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļø

  19. The Heat zone is a scheme that Miami runs to force Denver away from the Murray PnR with the Joker…Its so annoying that Denver still want to go PnR or drive and yet that is what Heat want you to do….What people don't realize is The Heat speeds Denver up by pressure…its amazing that Jokic was in the middle being fronted by Gabe Vincent but because how Gabe was being physical with Jokic fronting him they made them think Jokic cant catch a pass…and by making that pass that forces Bam to come cover leaving Gordon for a cut or lob dunk…But because they pressure you to eat clock and speed you up
To beat the zone you have to always go through the middle…But I watched Denver they are trying to drive….. and force PnR NOOOOO

when they go man go PnR, zone Go through the middle…if Jokic is being fronted by a smaller guy trust he can catch and just whip to AG for a cut or lob…Its just patience

  20. Shout out to the wonder kid Brady Hawk. Kids 20 years old and does top notch professional work covering the Heat. Canā€™t drink legally, but can break down film and ask Spo questions better than most

  21. We don't win the game without Duncan's 10 points off the bench they overplay him on defense because he is a shooter and he is so good at taking advantage of it

  22. Skip and Shannon were bearable a few years ago, but at this point it is good that they are splitting ways as its impossible to watch. Colin Cowherd has the worst takes. Kendrick Perkins is a complete joke. And Stephen A just screams too much. Its insane that JJ Redick is the best sports analyst for the NBA at this point and its not even close.

  23. What miami is doing is so simple yet brilliant

They are running a pick and roll on top of the key between bam and a shooter

  24. Actually, Denver did show a lack of effort on the defensive end. Murray especially, but also Jokić, MPJ… Lazy movement after screens, it was obvious on several Miami plays.

  25. What people need to understand, Miami in the regular season did not have its full roster. Eric Spoelstra took the season to get all the guys healthy and ready for the playoffs, instead of worrying about the regular season. He knows the postseason is what they were working on and the entire team bought in.

Stop talking about the regular season, when the same guys that played in the regular season is not the same guys playing in this playoffs. Just a different rotation and more consistency with the guys playing on the court.

Miami Heat will win it all this season šŸ’Æ Letā€™s go Heat šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ€šŸ€šŸ€

  26. It is a good thing that Coach Spo, JJ and others are calling out this stupid narrative of "making Jok a scorer to beat Denver. These players and coaches work hard at their craft and put many, many hours in. It does them a complete disservice to have such lazy NBA reporters ask uneducated, idiotic questions.

Ramona Shelbourne and her ilk of lazy NBA reporters need to do a better job of first watching the games and second not dumbing things down to simple incomplete questions and answers that explain nothing and provide fodder for other casual fans to have stupid takes.
