Focused on this idea more than the trade in the image.

    lol

rather trade Luka than commit franchise suicide

for real, i would much rather trade Kyrie to Lakers than give up real assets for 39 yr old LeBron.

  2. hallzl19

He’s considering retirement AND only has 1 year on his contract. This is, quite possibly, the most idiotic fake trade I’ve seen

  3. eh_ee_eye_oh_u

Might I remind you that most franchises that trade for Bron commit franchise suicide….

You can’t add another player to a sign and trade.

Thats a trash trade right there.

You’re building the skeleton of any deal for LeBron around THJ. From there it’s only a question of whether they would want Bullock and Maxi or Bertans as the other main salary balancer which probably depends on how competitive they would want to be next season.

Not even a legal trade. Best trade we can offer that works is THJ, Bertans, Green, Hardy, 10th overall pick (about $5M salary), and 2027 unprotected first. Could also do THJ, Kleber, McGee, Green, Hardy, 10th overall pick, and 2027 unprotected first. Lakers would decline either of course.

Add re-signing Kyrie and the trade fails because you have no cap space. Need to equal out the salary for cap reasons (unless you get rid of Kyrie which then means LeBron doesn’t come). Also you can’t trade 2025 1st or 2nd because if the Mavs pick were to fall in the top 10 next year again one of those two would end up conveying to the Knicks, so you need to keep them both until the pick conveys. In addition to #10 this year only 2026 and 2027 firsts are tradeable (one or the other, not both), can’t do 2028 because of the Stepien Rule (2029 sent to Brooklyn)

There 0% chance LeBron goes to Dallas. It’s possible that before the Lakers made trades Dallas did reach out. This leaking screams Mavs showing Kyrie they tried

I ain’t giving up shit from lebron lmao

Lol I would be just willing to give up Kryie to Lakers if he badly wants to team up with Lebron again one last time. No way I would sacrifice this team’s future for a star who is about to retire already.

  12. Dapper_Connection526

you can’t “trade” a cap hold and mavs can’t trade the 2025 first

I prefer Hardy to Green at this point, so I would rather make that SWAP out it also feels like a lot to give up for 1 year of lebron. It would likely be a pretty fun year, but it would leave us in a pretty deep hole next offseason when he leaves for whoever drafts Bronny.

For this to make any sense, we almost have to commit to drafting Brony which is probably doable if he is a 2nd rounder, but wouldn’t happen if he were a first.

I don’t like it, and as other people have said we cannot trade 2025 1st, it would have to be the 2026 because we owe 2024 to New York Unprotected.

Are you stupid? LeBron is like 40, you dont give away 2 FRPs for him + HZardy… wtf?
