Yeah they probably are in trouble
1 loss and media panics. That's why it's best of 7 series.
Thx god Zach dug up Legler from the graveyard shift at ESPN for his own show
This is the closest thing to credit the Heat will get short of winning the championship so I’ll take it lmao
Here in England the cheese race is most normal.
If we listened to the media? Then yeah. They are in trouble. But the reality? They got lazy and over confident (in my humble opinion);and they will absolutely BOUNCE back!
Nuggets needed a loss to refocus them. I called Heat winning game 2 after that lackluster game 1. Nuggets just got lucky with that bad decision to play AG the way Heat did. MPJ stepped up major on defense but he also jacked up a ton of bad 3s feeling himself a bit too much. Denver shot like 28% on 3s but remove MPJs shots its closer to 40%.
I will say I haven't seen Jokic get as bothered as he did game 2 but I also haven't seen Jimmy get as sleepy as he did game 1. This is going to be a great series but Nuggets really need to refocus especially MPJ. Is he smart enough to bounce back or still too young and will just spiral
Can't wait for more of the unstoppable force (Jimmy Butler) to hit that immovable object (Jokic.)
If Jokic can't be the engine the wheels (AG, MPJ ETC) are gonna fall off.
It's not just MPJ, everyone was playing sloppy defense. Either missing switches or playing wayyyy too low. I told people Miamis gonna have a better 3 point shooting night based on how open they were but they kept saying, 'Nuggets didn't shoot well either hurr durr!'
It was like they didn't watch the game. Nuggets shot great game one, it's just MPJ jacked up too many bad shots skewing the team stats. Remove his shots and they shot GREAT. The only one was Jamal shot below his normal 50-40-90 self but not by much.
I believe Jokic, Murray and Malone were taking the heat seriously but it felt like everyone else thought these wins were gonna be easy. Heat deserves your respect, you gotta play near perfect to beat them.
I like Herro except for his defense and his mind boggling turnovers he makes at the worst time. I see that being corrected over time. I don’t see him being better at that by starting to play 3 or more games into the Finals 🤷🏽♂️
Welcome To! Let's go Zach
Bam scored 20 PPG on 54% shooting this season. In the finals he's scoring 23 PPG on 53% shooting. So he can absolutely continue this level against a team with weak interior defense.
I wonder if Nuggets would be open to trading MPJ for Mikal Bridges, you have enough scoring power plus elite. Even if they win I would still be open to it. Aside from Jokic I feel like this team was feeling themselves(arrogance) because they were the favorites in this series.
He was so lost in the defensive sequence, his confidence depends on his offense.
Heat have finally cracked the code of Denver 😂😂
Every opponent the Heat have played have all "looked" to play not their best basketball. "70% or less of their potential".
Gee,…what a coincidence? What is the common denominator? I can't….quite…put my finger….on it.
38:08 Jokic scored 53 against the Suns and Denver lost
Just one question if Coach Spoelstra is such a mastermind: how come the Heat have lost four out of their last six playoff games? I've always been impressed with him, he is an excellent coach, but you're laying it on really thick in light of recent results.
Funny that Denver never made these mistakes against all the other teams in the west that they steamrolled 🤔
Legler at around the 26:00 min mark made my heart warm.
Miami has the coaching and team chemistry to beat the Nuggets. Lakers and Suns did not have the chemistry and Ham is a rookie coach. Ham maybe will be good but down the line but wasn't ready. If the Nuggets don't come with it every game they will get beat this round.
Heat in 5
If the other team shoots 50% on threes, you make 8-10 boneheaded plays, the refs take away at least 2 guaranteed points and you lose by 3 with a shot to tie…. Yeah, I don’t think that qualifies as being “in trouble”
Best NBA Game Analysts: Tim Legler and Jason Timpf
Lol wasn’t everyone saying the heat were losing in 4 after game 1?
despite all the terrible defense and awlful 3pt shooting….Miami only won by 3…..hmph unimpressed felt like the heat played their hearts out and nuggets just barely showed up….not a good look for Miami
Malone has always been heavy handed in the post game criticism of his teams. I thought he wasn’t gonna last as long as he has tbh
