I wouldn’t be mad if we got lively. I still want to experience Chet as the center for some change though, the idea would be to start lively and Chet though.

For the 100th time. Chet is our starting Center. There are direct quotes from Sam last year saying as much.
Furthermore, Lively has the same downsides of frailty and post strength as Chet with less polish and skill on both ends.

I’d be pretty frustrated if Lively was the pick, would feel like we’re taking a backup big man who’s ceiling is probably Myles Turner with the 12th pick. Even Turner probably isn’t worth trading the 12th pick for and we’d be taking someone who would be lucky to be that good in the future. Big no thanks.

I think this could work.
Starting lineup: C- DLII PF-Chet SF-Poku SG-Dieng PG – we can use 2RPs to get another long skinny 7 footer

How about they draft someone who is NOT skinny!

Why would the Thunder, who had the 11th and 12th picks in the draft last year, pass on both Jalen Duren and Mark Williams, only to select Dereck Lively at #12 this year? This year’s lottery looks to be just as talented, if not more than, last year’s, while both Duren and Williams were considered better prospects than Lively.

What do we think about drafting emoni bates with our later picks? Might be a steal of the draft I know coming out of HS it was him vs chet in who’s the best player in the country.

I’m always pretty wary of Duke guys.
We need WINGS.
