    Summary:

Joel heavily struggled in adjusting to the Celtics putting him in pick and roll. Coaching staff totally failed in helping Joel out and had no idea how to stop it.

The Horford-Williams lineup shut down Joel on offense and quotes confirm that Glenn had NO idea how to adjust to it. Williams was put on Tucker and was able to safely ignore him on the perimeter to help on Embiid.

Contrary to what talking heads say, Joel needs to **stop** posting up so much. Embiid post ups are bad playoff offense. Joel’s best success was when he was facing up and driving on Horford. Joel cannot consistently do this however because his handle is not tight enough.

Anyone that thinks Rivers was the main problem is delusional. And I don’t even think Doc is a good coach. This is an organizational failure

Nice also you never see a lot of motion when Embiid has the ball, everyone just standing around like A.I all over again. Williams never had to move anywhere since everyone is just standing around. Be nice to see how Embiid would look in a triangle type offense where there always some kind of motion going on On the opposite side.

Just watching the defensive part, it looks to me like Embiid also just wasn’t putting in enough effort on defense. A number of the plays in the first few minutes show Embiid not even getting a hand up or trying to divert a driving or cutting player. I would say that “lack of attention to detail” is almost too charitable.

On offense, there’s a lot of Embiid standing near the top of the key with three Celtics surrounding him. I knew the offensive clips were going to be bad, but not this bad. [What the hell is this? Why does he take this shot?](https://imgur.com/hBaUOyG)

    Can we get over it.

    New coach. New goals.

This was an easy counter. Put Niang in for Tucker and shoot Williams off the floor.

I played for Doc Rivers in two cities.
