  1. If Houston can play the wait game and get their No.1 on the cheap, I don't hate Hopkins coming back, even though I'm concerned about the attitude and work ethic. He would be a great teacher for Metchie, Tank Dell and Hutchinson. He's a lot like them, in that he doesn't have crazy speed, but he can run routes with the best, and I don't have to argue his contested catch ability. Triple coverage against the Bills, and it didn't matter.

  2. Hop doesn't have the speed he once had anymore…but he does still have the skills to run good routes and he does have those awesome HOP HANDS…..

He should go for around 8-10 mil with 1st down and touchdown incentives….Maybe 20-30K+ per 1st down and 50-60K+ per TD??

We don't want him to stifle our young guys production and growth….but as a 3rd down or red zone receiver he would be a great weapon to move the chains/score or a diversion by drawing attention away from our other receivers and RBs.

His pay should also require him to participate in practices or pay a team fine…..NO tolerance for prima donna BS that could cause issues with his other team mates in the locker room.

    GO TEXANS!! 🤠

  3. I'm not against him coming back. But if I'm management, I'm playing the long game. There's no need to overpay Hop considering he's on the wrong side of 30 and the Super Bowl contenders have little cap space.

  4. Can’t believe Jets would rather keep Corey Davis for 10 million then give Hopkins 12 million

  5. In this case talk is literally cheap. I won't even entertain the idea of DeAndre's return until he actually signs.

  6. Bill O'Brien and Hopkins are not getting back together….
    [Quote] –
According to Michael Irvin, who had two phone conversations with Hopkins, O’Brien disagreed with the receiver’s lifestyle and that was apparently why the coach/GM decided to move him off the Texans’ roster.

“[O’Brien] told DeAndre Hopkins in a meeting, ‘The last time I had to have a meeting like this was with Aaron Hernandez’,” said Irvin. “[Hopkins] said, ‘That blew my mind, that he would bring that up. I’ve never been in any trouble. I don’t know why he would equate me with Aaron Hernandez.’ From there, the meeting just deteriorated.

“He got into talking about, DeAndre Hopkins has a few kids from different women, and he told DeAndre that he doesn’t like that he has his baby mamas around sometimes. From that, I think the relationship just went bad and thus we got a trade.”

Irvin mentioned that there was “a bit of a power struggle” between Hopkins and O’Brien, with the coach thinking that the receiver had “too much influence over the locker room.”

  7. Stoud needs a number 1 receiver. We have plenty of cap space. What's the issue? Every dollar under the cap is a wasted dollar and a slap in the face to fans. This team has WAY too many holes to be under the cap once the season starts. F that noise.

  8. Pay Nuk 1 year $10M with up to $6M in incentives $8M guaranteed 🤟🏽🍻🤟🏽

  9. He's not coming to the Texans. There is no chance. You guys know this. You just want clicks. It makes no sense for the Texans considering the fact that they're not going to contend for anything for the next year or two, and it makes no sense for Hopkins to go to a rebuilding team at this point in his career. John McClain from the chronicle has already said that he spoke to Deandre Hopkins in that Hopkins said that he's not really interested in the Texans. He wants to go to a contender. He's just playing the Texans for leverage with a team that he really wants to go to

  10. His family is here and he lives here in the off season, there's a good chance he does sign here especially if nobody else has the cap or is coming close to what hes looking for, plus alot of these veterans try and sign later so they don't have to go through training camp

  11. Bk! The last 2 years have been sad for him. We have new guys to develop. Looks Targets and receptions are so important to WR's. Do you really think taking those away from these younger guys this year in an attempt to see if Hopkins is still a legit #1 receiver is a good plan? I think thats a mistake. We already have 2 decent Vets in that group to help these guys adjust to the NFL. Do we want Nuks primadonna attitude rubbing off on these new guys?
IF NUK STILL HAD "IT" we wouldn't have a shot at him. If Nuk doesn't have "IT" any more why do you want that guy in the locker room?
