He was already becoming a Cone then. I’m good unless it’s vet min, off the bench, VERY low minutes.

Dude is old tho, we would have to rest him and stash him for the playoffs.

Yes and he HAS to be #3

If AD can’t help the Lakers win another ring he’s never getting the #3 jersey retired anyways.

If AD DOES help win another ring then he can retire the 2nd jersey.

LeBron was FMVP and broke the scoring record so his #23 retirement is set. But AD needs another ring to get a jersey at the Crypt

The “ this is old “ comments are annoying. We’re not gonna sign Chris Paul and rely on him to carry us. He’s likely coming off the bench, likely a role player. There’s hardly a negative outcome out of signing him for a vet min.

On a vet min or MLE im more than willing tbh. Him and AD could be a better version of rondo and AD cause CP3 can actually score.

It’s not THAT crazy. One of his only friends left is here. He’s making 15m still off that previous deal. At this stage, I’m not sure he’s getting big offers anywhere although I’m sure some teams could throw the MLE at him.

If he came here as the replacement for Dennis then I’m down, but I dont want him as a starter here.

We can’t loose if we can sign him to a vet min. But the thing is he’s never healthy in the playoffs 🤷‍♂️

  8. KingNephew

Get him for the vet min, pray he can squeeze out one healthy year.

I would love Paul but I doubt he’d be willing to come off the bench. So if you trade DLo, I’m not comfortable with a Paul-Schroder point guard rotation.

No. We need to have a team situation where LeBron’s eventual departure doesn’t jettison a bunch of other players who were only here because LeBron was. There needs to be a viable young-ish team to carry on. Basically, minimal rebuild.

Chris Paul played hard on an OKC team that should’ve been tanking and got them to the playoffs in 2020. He 100% can still go and will embrace any role he is given. If he will accept an MLE, 100% we have to get him. He is better than Schroder or Lonnie.

He’s washed but you could do way worse on a minimum than a guy who just had 13/9 and can hit your bigs/roller consistently.Fills a big hole for nothing in terms of another playmaker.

    Stein is Paul’s biggest enemy

You guys seen what he was able to do with Ayton in the pnr right? Now just imagine him with AD

  15. Wondering_Nova

There’s no guarantee he’s going to the Lakers tho. Or did I miss something?

Why the heck are folks insisting CP3 come off the bench for us? It’s like they think we’ve got a terrific starting PG or something. Even at the ripe old age of 38, he’s far better than D’Lo or anyone we can reasonably bring in given our salary cap situation. Start CP3, and have AR or LBJ bring the ball up when Chris is on the bench. No need to potentially risk running afoul of the second tax apron by signing D’Lo to a rich contract to be our starting PG (assuming Shroo gets more money to go elsewhere).

  17. JohnsonTheDude

He’s old can’t handle half a season anymore. Can’t score and his defense is totally trash now no thanks unless he wants off the bench for about a million a year

  18. BizzyHaze

Do we want him over Schroeder? At least Dennis plays solid D.

  19. Smelly-hobo-1

Nooo he is as injured as much as the other two get Dame or even vanvleet

  20. lakersdeege

waive dlo and trade schroder, i think we should try for dame but then if that doesnt work out we can try for CP3

  21. BrokenHero408

He’s not coming to the Lakers to be a bench player like folks here want. So no, I don’t think so.

  22. wk2coachella

I thought we were done signing senior citizens
