They shouldn't trade Dame just because they draft Scoot. They should only trade Dame if he wants to be. I believe Dame & Scoot can work good together. As long as they trade Ant & Nurkic for a better center… Yelp..Ayton? 23rd pick, Ant & Nurkic would be a ok upgrade over Nurk'. IK fans in Rip City aren't super thrilled about Ayton as a Blazer, but I believe that he was under used with an immense amount in lack of touches in the paint. Booker and CP3 never really included him in the offense other than to use Aytons' body in the pick n roll to free themselves up for shots. With a player like Dame behind him-in regards to his player development-he may have another gear to his game that Dame can "help" to unlock. I'd consider this trade if the Suns were interested.

Bro trade Dame asap or his value will fall hard. Dame and another elite player with this roster I don’t think the team has enough star power to win a ring, so trade Dame and rebuild with the youngsters.

Odds are against every rookie coming in. Did we expect jokic or even Donovan mitchell to be superstars or stars. No… So saying we don't know if scoot will be a top 75 player is biased. What’s funny is everyone thinks this Scoot guy is going to be a superstar and will stay in Portland 😂. He may just be another decent role player or is injury prone. This is a no brainer build around Dame and if we don’t win a in the next couple of years then we tried. We have one of the best players in the league why wouldn’t we go all in

The Blazers aren't going to look as bad for going back on what they''re saying ("build around Dame") as they have been terrible the last couple of years following a long period of mediocrity.
We don't get a chance to draft anyone as good as Scoot very often, and if we get a chance this year we can't pass up on him because of Dame, let alone because of things Cronin has said the last few months.
Look at Miami rn, their best player is butler & dame is better than butler in terms of impact. Why are blazer fans quick to want trade dame? There’s no guarantee scoot is even half the player dame is & there’s no telling if scoot or miller would want to be committed to Portland as much as dame. You have to do right by dame & give him players around him to compete, especially with the assets we have to actually go and build a good team around dame. A ring with dame imo would be better than the wade/ dirk rings. Everyone says Portland can’t win but what if they do? It’d be the best championship in nba history & would put dame in the convo for top 5 pg of all time at least…
