[Haynes] States he spoke directly to CP3, Suns will still try and trade him before 6/28 but he’s under the belief he’ll be waived. DLo’s Lakers tenure didnt work out well and Lakers make more sense than the Clippers. Also says the Lakers will “get something done” with AD’s extension

Yeah the idea of him replacing Dlo is a lot less interesting to me.

bruh wtf there going to let DLO walk? Poverty Franchise.

  3. Haynes as NO sources on LAL side. So, he just makes shit up.

DLo’s Lakers tenure didn’t work out well? Really? If he gets moved simply because of that Denver series, it will be a bonehead decision.

  5. They’re going to sign CP3 and let Dlo walk. Losing that salary slot is mismanagement but not surprising that Jeanie wants to save money with new CBA. Embarrassing honestly to not even attempt a sign & trade somewhere.

If Chris Paul is the starter then you need a really good backup. That’s not Schroder.

  7. Plastic-Dot-9278

who’s trading for a 38 year old being paid 30 mil

I’m all for keeping DLo < max/tradeable but sizeable salary and CP3 being the backup. Schröder is going to walk so the Lakers just need to find another defensive guard. I don’t think Christie is there yet but Shaq Harrison might be nice.

If they get Paul and keep D’lo while losing Dennis then they need to get another good defender.

DLo has shown enough, he isn’t playoff capable and should go. Lakers should find a way to do it over the summer. Part of me wonders if there’s a way to swap him with CP3. I could see that happening.

Why do the lakers want a washed CP3. That dirty fk

Ppl are jumping to conclusions. Getting Cp3 for a cheap deal like the vet min or $5m tax payer MLE would not necessarily mean that the lakers let DLo walk for nothing.

Even getting both wouldn’t be out of the question.

DLo could easily be the primary regular season PG, while they compete for PG minutes in the playoffs or be matchup dependent.

AD is my main concern. Have no doubts the Lakers will secure him. Building a team around him will keep us in championship contention. And by building around him i mean adding a true 1 option and possibly a 2a option where he is 2b.

  14. If they can swap Dlo for Paul and save money in the process they will do it.

    This ownership shouldn’t surprise anyone.

  15. Throwaways1247

Sign cp3 on a team friendly deal. Then sign and trade DLo for demar derozan, bulls might try to get a point guard because of the lonzo situation. Cp3-Reaves-Derozan-Bron-AD starting 5

Cp3 is a backup PG at 39 yrs old for the vet minimum, that’s it. He’s not replacing Dlo or going to be playing heavy minutes. People claiming that he’s going to be one of the most sought after players is really putting too much stock on his name compared to the player he currently is.

So he said nothing then.. thanks for the update

  18. scaremonster

CP3 off the bench supporting D’lo makes the most sense for us. 18 minutes a game keeps CP from getting hurt and we have an incredible game manager who can both teach D’lo some vet moves and run a functional pick and roll with AD

  19. Imjusthereandthere

What is this bullshit narrative that Dlo didn’t workout…so stupid
