On one hand yes, the media is just taking his honest answers out of context and creating a raging media fire regarding his potential future with the Blazers. On the other hand, Dame needs to realize he’s essentially just handing full gasoline cans to known arsonists by answering these questions in these interviews.

Maybe Dame should stop doing interviews during the off-season. He’s not helping his situation at all by giving the media quotes to take out of context and run with.

The only thing I’ve gotten out of all this is Dame seriously needs some media training or something. lol
I get that he just sees it as him answering questions honestly, but it doesn’t help us in the slightest when he’s going around talking about which teams he would like to play for.

Dame is trying too hard to “keep it real” he clearly isn’t happy with his situation in Portland but the whole loyalty gimmick that he pulled would look too much like a lie if he actually requested a trade. Blazers have been headed for a rebuild since 2020. He secured that supermax and now his true colors show.

I feel like anyone with basic media training knows that the only answer to that question is “I’m just focusing on the Blazers”.
