That seems… really good for us?

>The Nuggets are trying to maximize their championship window and deal this picks deal gives them some additional chances at low-cost contracts and trade tools. For OKC, another first-round pick deep into the future.
>Denver still owes Oklahoma City a 2027 Top-5 protected first-round pick.

Calvin cooking again
They’re doing a trade in the finals?? lmao
What is Calvin cooking?
I like this trade a lot, mostly because we are in the NBA Finals with a 2-1 lead
LET HIM COOK
I bet i’ll be blackout drunk during the 2029 draft, so it doesn’t even matter. Win-win
Booth is putting in work during the finals
50Cal must have someone/s they’re targeting.
Seems like a steal especially for a protected 1st rounder
I’m pretty new to NBA draft trading. 2029? That seems like- really, really far out.

Denver and okc trade? Got excited it was for Micic for a second
We’re getting a first and 2 seconds over the next 2 years for a draft pick 6 years from now? What a deal! This years 2nd is a fairly early 2nd as well? Fuckin a Calvin!
With the new CBA, does this mean that we are going quite far into the luxury tax (or at least planning on it)? If we do I think(?) we can only go 5 years into the future so maybe we are getting in front of that?

What is Calvin Booth planning?
You can make trades now?
37th pick? Time for another generational talent in the 2nd round
OKC’s 2024 picks
>1st-round pick (OWN)
>1st-round pick (HOU, protected 1-4)
>1st-round pick (LAC)
>1st-round pick (UTA, protected 1-10)
We winning the finals and trades now? 2023 is a weird year
We Just traded a 2029 Lebron pick for a cb pick and 2 Jokic picks
This sounds GREAT. WTF… we took advantage of their surplus in picks and finessed them. we got two second rounders AND a first. we can get plenty of help now
2nd rnders are our forte
They found the next legend.
This is pretty sweet. Just how good it is depends on the protections as who knows what we will look like by 2029, but acquiring a bunch of assets is huge. We really had basically no near term trade capital. If Bruce gets a bag somewhere it was going to be very hard to replace him, as this 2029 pick was the earliest 1st we could trade and not many GM’s are interested in waiting for that. Now we have another near term first to toss around to get a good guy. We could also keep it but I think thats unlikely. The fact that we are getting seconds as well is honestly bizarre, I would think a straight up first swap would make sense already for both teams, as Nuggets need assets to trade to maximize the success in this window and OKC can’t bring in all these rookies. I guess that means the protections are going to be pretty light. Also the worst of 4 picks sounds bad but I aint sold on any of those teams for next year. If the Clips continue to struggle with injuries and OKC themselves don’t make a huge leap it could actually be pretty good, like top 15 (more likely in the 20’s though). So even if we can’t find a good trade the pick itself can bring a potentially decent guy in.
Why do all good things happen to us?? What did we do to deserve this?
Thats our GM.

OKC fan here and Denver is my 2nd team especially come playoff time.
Not too sure how to feel. Seems beneficial on both ends since OKC just can’t even draft all those guys next year. However, I figured we would trade one or more for more of a win now move and not a 2029 pick. But hey, if we have a championship window open up here in the next couple years it sure will be nice having an extra 1st later on down the road.
Based Calvin Booth strikes when you least expect it.
Smart. Let’s draft NBA ready guys with low ceilings and high floors. Cheap and ready to play like Braun!
Which of the expirings do you think the team brings back? I think only Jeff and DJ on minimums. Think ish, TB, big gov, and Bruce (☹️) are gone
OKC owns the following picks in 2024:
Houston
LA (Clippers)
Utah
OKC
We might end up with a pretty good pick out of this.
This trade potentially will work out for both teams, I could see that 2029 pick being high depending on if Jokic is still wanting to play at that time. And gives us more ammunition to fill out our depth
Emoni bates really seems like the pick there at 37, Reminds me a bit of MPJ, huge offensive bag, shooting ability, a former great high school prospect and with huge upside
Win-Win. May potentially extend our window and they get the pick when all of their current players start turning 28/30ish and could possibly do the same.
Can’t wait for that 37th pick somehow being a key rotation player in the playoffs next year.
trade 8 hours before finals game?
Booth is a legend!
Really nice trade also!
I think we’ll draft Tristan Vukcevic and Marcus Sasser with 37 and 40
