Nothing new here, but one thing I feel like people outside the fandom are missing is this:

    1. Dame said quite clearly that we have an asset to build off of. If we fail to build on it, conversations will need to be had. Obviously his preference is to trade it and get someone back, but I don’t view that statement as saying we can’t use the pick. If we use it, we better hit, and Scoot/Miller need to live up to the hype. Fast. Sharpe will need to take a big leap forward next year. If not, those tough convos will be had.

    2. He’s literally been photographed smiling and having a good time at our pre-draft workouts so far… why would he even be there if he wasn’t pragmatic or open to using the pick?? That’s the big one for me. He’s clearly involved on all levels of this, and again, he’s a smart dude.

He said it himself that he will be in a Blazer uniform in October. Even if we use the pick and he gets mad, and we aren’t good next year. I really doubt we will trade him this off-season. The market just isn’t there.

The only part of the article that is newish are the introduction of potential Dame destinations. The Raptors have interested me for weeks now, and it was validating to see their name there.

Dame for Barnes leaves both teams in a great spot imo. They have a handful of fungible role players that would make salary work (OPJ, Thad, Boucher).

Dame/OG/Siakam/Poeltl/FVV return is the foundation of a contender

Sharpe/Ant/Barnes/Miller or Scoot is an incredible place to start a rebuild

KOC saying we need to trade Sharpe >:(

    >If Shaedon Sharpe isn’t dealt

    Stopped reading after that.
