I'd rather have his brother Cliff Paul instead
Why would CP3 want to come to a young team? Wouldn't he want to continue ring chasing
CP3 would be super beneficial to the development to the entire team!

Getting him would be great. Having a guy that can create easy scoring opportunities for our young guys, as well as being an on court coach would be terrific for the future.
It'd be a similar situation when he was with OKC if he decided to come to SA.
Idk man, I'm conflicted about it.
It's entirely possible with paul the spurs do make the playoffs, he made the thunder highly competitive.
I think he could consider the spurs though if he maybe has thoughts that he might never win a title as a player but maybe as a coach someday and joins to be under the pop coaching tree eventually. Currently most the top coaches in the league all at one point were under Pop's wing. I could see him holding the clipboard a lot if he joined the spurs.

I don’t see any downside with us getting CP3 … good mentor for Tre Jones and Blake Wesley. A good pass-first point guard for Wembanyama. An excellent leader for the locker room … we have the cap space …
I just don’t see CP3 joining a rebuilding team. Will prob join the Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Celtics or go back to the Suns (on a cheaper contract)
Chris Paul fits well in San Antonio and for just one year his veteran playmaking presence could be huge for Victor Wembanyama as Victor Wembanyama begins his NBA career.
The "spurs fan" pool has been tainted since the lottery. Brand new haters. Brand new posers. Can't name a player on the 1999 roster. Rocket burner accounts. Dont believe them. They know you put Paul with Wemby and Vassell its over for these sorry bastads!

Why no to Paul?? He would help the team chemistry, and give some more leadership and mentorship to wemby.. getting him wouldn’t be about a “win now, point guard for our future” type pick up. We aren’t going to be a championship level team for a few more years so.. might as well use his help while we can
