CP you have it all wrong there hasn’t been word one about the Knicks budget. If I was James Dolan just say no too Spider and KAT and Joel too much risk and cost and age and KAT like Randall disappears on the playoffs and never demands the ball in the whole same with Joel. assuming Mr Dolan approves two max contracts no word on that yet I want JB for RJ and I want Ingram for Randall with whatever Salary fillers are required.too make it happen plus I want Leon Rose Gone for Bob Myers

Please check the math before you criticize. 2023 salaries: D. Mitchell + J. Allen=$53.1M; trade for RJ Barrett+Obi+Quickley+M. Robinson=$50.3M. Knicks get the SG they want plus rim protector Thibs prefers.
Allens salary is $20M each year while Robinsons declines each year saving money for a small market like Cavs. Cavs get RJ for SF; Grimes for SG; Obi Toppin (PF) who played in Dayton Ohio and Quickley to come off the bench as a PG/SG. Cavs get defense, offense, and a bench to develop chemistry with Garland & Mobley. With the new CBA Cavs will have multiple players under medium salary contracts instead of the 2 stars and minimum role players progressing around the league. The Cavs would resemble the Larry Brown Pistons with Hamilton and Billups. The Knicks would have a starting 5 of Allen, Randle, Hart, Brunson and Mitchell. Randle as a third option is better suited with Hart and Allen as the defensive roles. The Knicks would have to rebuild their depth but with Fournier's expiring and whatever picks are remaining it should be doable. In addition, Knicks can decline Rose's extension and bring him back cheaper with McBride. They would still have Hartenstein and Sims who are familiar with Thibs. In another season the Cavs cannot demand as much from the Knicks as the number of players and salaries won't match. Even with draft picks this is a better deal than what Danny Ainge was requesting. Ok. Kill me with your feedback you irrational bunch of munchers:-)
No thanks. The knicks need to sit and be patient. Two guys we need to be looking for luka and giannis. The bucks are getting old and gianns could end up on a team by himsefl soon. Dallas is doing everything to sabotage lukas time in dallas. Save all the assets for a big splash in next few yrs

Mitchell is not even an average defender, Brunson also teams will break them down easily they will win with them but not win a chip we want a championship and defense wins chips so I say keep our core Grimes is a great defender and a great shooter ypu all haven't seen anything yet so stop dreaming and let's wake up to reality.
