I think he’s going to feel like a steal whenever he gets drafted for sure. He’s that kid from this draft that just plays the right way, gets things done, defends effectively. No he won’t be an All Star but I’d bet money 5 years later he’s playing meaningful minutes in the NBA which will be more than some of these 1st rounders this year.

He won’t be a steal at 17. Getting a quality role player at 17 is decent but not anything special. Especially in a draft as deep as this one.
If he’s the target it’d be better to trade back into the 20s and draft him while getting an extra asset

this is a case where draft experts are very wrong; Colby Jones will be a steal at #17.
Just like Desmond Bane was a steal at #30 but he also would have been a steal at #15.
