    Equally entertaining, similarly dominating

  2. ihateeuge

Thats what I got from this playoff run. The first time I actually like the comparison. Think these guys will stick together though lol

  3. SquimJim

Jamal “The Big Maple Leaf” Murray

    Nikola “Chungus Mamba” Jokic

  4. hotelmotelshit

Jokic is becoming a cheat code at an all great level, can’t stop big honey 🍯🍯🍯

  5. pan_rock

They really don’t. Just let them be them. Why they gotta be another Kobe and Shaq duo, they Jamal and joke

  6. Intelligent-Sell-642

Why do we feel the need to compare every duo to either Shaq and Kobe or Jordan and Pippen?

  7. TO_Sports

They must be up there for the duo all-time points record in a single playoff, right?

I remember in 2019, it was one of the main things they kept talking about. Kawhi and Pascal were getting close to or breaking the record for most points scored by a duo. These two have to be up there, although they aren’t playing as many games since they’re dominating, so that doesn’t help.

  8. heysuess

That word doesn’t mean what you think it does.

  9. BeautifulBella09

They are the best center-guard combo in the league right now and probably since Kobe and Shaq. To be completely dominating the finals series and both being the first duo to have 30+ point triple doubles in the same game is insane

  10. Emera1dthumb

Nope. Not even close. These guys are selfless. Shaq and Kobe were both ego monsters.

  11. BigFatModeraterFupa

Such a classic beat. Shit makes me smile every time

  12. mmaguy123

    Reminiscent of the 2000’s run.

Jokic is in his prime dominance era and Murray is about to get started with a breakthrough.

  13. ChrisIsDaBomb17

I feel like all people do when they make these comparisons is invite hate. No they’re not Kobe & Shaq, arguably the greatest duo of all time. They’re amazing in their own way. No need to compare

  14. Yes, that 3 pointer sure reminds of Shaq 🙂

  15. benbru92

They have such great chemistry. It brings me joy whenever they run the inverted pick & roll because it’s so rare to see 2 people as good at it as they are.

  16. Basic_Loquat_9344

Sick edit. The only thing they have in common is height difference tho, it’s not similar at all.

  17. Will_I_survive_this

But at least these two stars actually like each other

  18. brucewayne1935

I love when people throw a word into a sentence and have no idea what it means

  19. WillingLearner1

Discount Kobe and a totally different Shaq

  20. Revo_Int92

Both are great players, talented… but it’s a damn waste to watch these guys playing under such weak rules. Zones run free, Jokic was literally born to take advantage of free flowing movement on both ends, so good for him… but goddamn, the lack of physicality, the flopping, the refs “interpreting” plays in real time (when there’s a replay analyzes, it takes forever), etc.. like I said, it’s a waste to watch the current talent playing this kind of “basketball”

  21. AtreusIsBack

The best one two punch in the league right now.

  22. GLDFLCN

Lol yeah they’re great but no….let’s relax

  23. Inevitablellama919

The comparison stopped when Jokic took a three

  24. SUpirate

Murray doesn’t play like Kobe and Jokic doesn’t play like Shaq. Sure they’re both elite guard/big man duos, but watching these guys doesn’t really remind me of Shaq/Kobe much at all.

To a degree its probably just the evolution of the game. Half of what Kobe did in his prime would be considered bad offense today with too many mid-range jumpers. And Jokics game is not founded on being dominant in the post like Shaq.

Image a Kobe driving in transition and kicking it out to Shaq for the open 3. Or imagine Denver forcing the ball to Jokic on the post-up during 80% of their possessions.

They’re both great duos, but very different dynamics.

  25. Ilpav123

    They’re Kobe/Shaq…minus the toxicity.

  26. Tearz_in_rain

    There is no comparison.

Joker and Murray have a completely different chemistry.

Murray isn’t a glory hound ball hog like Kobe who wants to do everything on his own, and Joker is a historic passer, and they both trust each other implicitly.

This generation should be happy to know that they have a pair of stars to watch who are their own unique phenomenon, and there’s no need to compare them to Shaq and Kobe, who frankly had such a toxic relationship while playing together that it is a miracle they won any championships.

  27. Only thing similar is the positions. Otherwise, Jokic is about as far from Shaq as a dominant center can be.

  28. jaysonman1

Their names shouldn’t be mentioned till after 2 lol
