I don’t know if this will workout (trade wise) but the idea of **Mikal Bridges pairing with Jayson Tatum will be a huge upgrade**. If Brad thinks this new CBA rules will fuck us in the future having 2 supermax guys, then Mikal is what we need and here’s why:
Nets perspective: They need a #1 Leader. We all saw what happened against Sixers and clearly, Mikal isn’t built for being the #1 option. Jaylen Brown could be the answer should they opt in on his future.
Celtics perspective: We get a good off-ball player both offensively and defensively. We all know how well Mikal Bridges played being the 3rd option during his Phoenix stunt days and clearly it all played well. Mikal won’t worry being the no. 1 option anymore as we can surround him with talented players. He could also focus more defensively as our team is built heavily on offensive side. Mikal is only 26 years old also.
A lineup of Smart/White/Mikal/JT/Horford doesn’t have anu significant weakness both in offense and defense. Trio of White/Mikal/JT are known for their durabilities so we won’t be dealing with injuries to our cores.
Apologies if this sub reddit has been bombarded with JB trade ideas but a swap of Mikal rather than Lillard is I think more likely will upgrade our roster. What do you all think?

Trade Jaylen Brown for Anfernee Simons (salaries do not match) and the number three pick
Mikal and Jaylen are the same age so the upside is even. Jaylen is a better player but Mikal is on a way better contract. Still a one for one trade would make us worse not better. We need something more.
