Good for him to get straight into another lead assistant role. Would love the Celtics to quit stealing our staff*, but if they’re building a new staff around Mazzulla it seems like a good move.

Great hires from Brad and I think smart career moves from Cassell and Lee to join as AC’s. Mazzulla has to get to the finals next year or I think his job is gone, and both of these guys will then have the opportunity to jump into coaching an (on-paper, anyway) talented team with little to do in the way of building a cast.
That’s a situation most 1st time head coaches would kill for.

Probably a good idea to get guys in there that Mazulla can work with instead of just making him work with Ime’s guys. I understand the circumstances but that’s not usually going to end well
