I don’t think analysis that pippen jr only focuses on offense is incorrect. Even just watching these clips you can clearly see the effort on both sides of the ball.
Watching cole play defense was a complete nightmare
Let go of Pippen too small not athletic and average shooter.

Big fan of both. It would be great if Swider could develop enough to have a standard contract. I think his ceiling would be a Duncan Robinson/Matt Ryan type shooter. If Schroeder leaves, then maybe more minutes for Pippen Jr., or even a Mac McClung type? And bring back Jay Huff!
They should just use what personnel they have.

Swider would already fill a niche with his shooting. If he improves his defense he would become a solid rotation piece. It's the difference between being a 11-15 bench guy vs a 6-10 rotation player.
Pippen Jr. looks talented but, there's not a lot of room for a guy who won't be a star and demands the ball a lot to be effective.
The Lakers need a big on a 2way contract. The Lakers lost a game or two simply by not having a big body available to play center after injuries. Last year that should have been Huff. This year teams will have three 2 way contracts and the Lakers need to make sure one of those go to a center if for no other reason than a break glass in emergency use only.
That's right finally these young guys are getting a menchin! I think they should have gotten a shot this playoffs
