[Wind] Jamal Murray says this is the best he’s ever seen Nikola Jokic play, but, “I think there’s more to come, actually. I think we haven’t seen a side of Jok that we’re going to see, where he can be pure dominance throughout the entire game.”

Yeah I feel like he does already. But I agree that it really feels like he has another gear to go

  2. He should take more shots honestly. Tons of articles out there that argue he should be taking more shots every game. He could easily average 30+ instead of 25. He often finds the open man but sometimes he’s a bit too generous, when we has the ball in the post or an open 3 he just needs to take the shot

But then again it’s hard to say it isn’t working when they’re winning

Diesel Jokic where he puts on 20 pounds of muscle next offseason

  4. mohiben

People love to compare greats to “peak Jokic” as if he isn’t on an upward trajectory. There’s no “peak” until he stops going up (not this season)

  5. BlankCorners

Don’t they lose when he scores 40+

  6. GovernmentDoingStuff

He’s 28, this should be his new normal for at least the next 5 years and within that span, he could have an even higher peak than this one

  7. Djokovic got his 23rd. Come on Jokic, get that ring tomorrow

#BAH GAWD THE JOKER HAS YET TO REVEAL HIS FINAL FORM

with Djokovic winning a record 23rd grand slam title, there will be intense conversation in 10 years around the three best Jokers (Heath Ledger included of course) on whatever platform replaces Reddit because spez fucked it harder than a snuff film

Provided he remains healthy, maintains his conditioning and motivation to win… it’s easy to see 5-6 years of dominant play and an even longer championship window if Denver keeps talent around him.

At the same age, Tim Duncan was finishing the 2003-2004 season and had 12 seasons and 3 championships ahead of him.

This would never happen because games would be over by the 3rd quarter

It is mostly going to be about refinement. Jokic is shooting 46% from 3 in these playoffs on 3.8 attempts/game. If you watch the Nuggets play a lot you see Jokic open quite a bit beyond the arc during games, he just doesn’t pull the trigger on the 3. The Nuggets give the green light to like all their players to just bomb a 3 if they feel they’ve got the look, but Jokic seems almost reluctant to shoot them even though he might be their best 3 point shooter.

Notice how he wears his wedding ring on his shoes? That’s actually his power restrictor and weights two tons. He needs that to protect himself because of how powerful he is.

Can it come next season pls. I cannot take a 20+ loss for heat in g5

  14. pataguccispacescarf

I was thinking about this today. If you played Jokic a full 48 minutes and let him take ~75% of the team’s shots, mostly post ups, I think there’s a decent chance that he could break Wilt’s record. Mike Malone, if you’re reading this for some reason, remember me next season when you’re playing a random bottom-tier team next February

Translation: Boy about to start playing elite defense

  16. GreenHippoLover69

Dudes legit going to end his career in the GOAT discussion. It’s wild.

  17. archarbor

Aren’t we already seeing it? This Jokic is not the one we saw the past few years who started to lose steam after the first round.

  18. Cipher32

Jamal Murray one of those Ginyu force guys constantly gloating about how this isn’t even close to Frieza’s final form.

  19. Joker has gotten better every year, there is no reason to believe he won’t continue to improve until he doesnt

  20. FernBlueEyes

I’d like to see Murray pull out the Blue Arrow Monday night!! ♥️🇨🇦⛹🏿‍♂️

  21. JSRelax

What the hell is Murray’s definition of dominance?! Cause this son of a bitch has been playing pretty damn well.

Does Jokic have all 5 infinity stones and Murray knows he’s been waiting to use them until game 5?

  22. Gamerghost44

If he ever regains his memories he’s going to bury the world of basketball in a rain of bullets.

  23. FigOld1024

I hope he doesn’t peak too soon, I want to enjoy watching him dominate for as long as possible!

  24. IchesseHuendchen

Everybody is talking about long-term career development when I’m just hearing this as, “Nikola is going to come out tomorrow and fuck the Heat to death and back.”

  25. RegVsUltimateSpiderM

Nikola can only get more athletic and I’ve heard he has quit the booze even through the off season and has been eating much better so that always helps and we all know he is a hard worker so the sky’s the limit.

  26. PelPride

If I see him become an elite three point shooter next year just cancel the season

  27. HardcoreKaraoke

I know most people here are reading this as Murray talking about Jokic’s career. I’m reading it as Murray saying Jokic has been playing amazing in the Finals but he can still turn it up a gear. That even though he has been legitimately having a perfect run he hasn’t had a “take over” game. He’s not a selfish superstar so he doesn’t need to, he’s comfortable dishing assists and creating plays.

I’m reading it as Murray saying he could see Jokic just demolishing the Heat single handedly in a game before the series is over.

Joker 3 point shooting form is very unique, that incredibly high arc shooting and accuracy is extremely rare to find in NBA. I don’t think anybody shoots the 3s this high every time.
