After being selected with the second overall pick in last year’s NBA Draft, Chet Holmgren went on to miss his entire rookie season due to a lisfranc injury in his foot. He had successful surgery, but could not return to action for the Oklahoma City Thunder this past season. However, that hasn’t stopped him from working on his game, and more specifically his body. Over the past couple of months, we’ve seen several workout videos and pictures, where it appears Holmgren is filling out his frame and putting on noticeable muscle mass. Coming into the draft, the biggest question mark was his body, as many wondered if he could last in the NBA with his frame and the league’s level of physicality. And with him getting injured in a run before the season, many believed their fears had been confirmed. But the clear effort by Holmgren to gain more strength is very impressive, and could alleviate the only real question about his game. At 7’1” with guard-like skills, he was a true unicorn and unlike a player we’d really seen before Victor Wembanyama came in and stole that thunder. But Chet can protect the rim and guard the perimeter defensively, as well as shoot threes and dunk over people offensively. His play at the 2022 summer league was shocking, and looked like a future superstar. And with him adding weight and muscle, he’s only getting scarier. Chet Holmgren is about to break the NBA.
Think about subbing, I’m on the road to 8k!!!

Break the NBA or break an ankle? 😂
I always watch a prospect’s feet and reactions to the ball. Chet is extraord8nary.
BigHerm24 good commentary good analysis. So if he’s gain muscle and weight do you know his weight at this moment? The last time I looked he was 195 pounds. Victor Wembanyama is now with the 230 pounds. I hope he’s put on some weight because he’s gonna need it.
Keep it real he trash made out of glass
Dont argue with every comment man, this was spot on commentary and a valid opinion or speculation. Got a new sub from me for just keeping this shit legit.
yeah i agree chet is already breaking it, thats why his out for a year. This guy is just so fragile
You guys must be drunk for posting this content.
you mean he might break something again lmao
Its a shame he will be over shadowed by Victor
these thunder v spurs playoff series are gunna start heating up again real soon.
Chet Holmgren ain’t breaking shit but his ankles 😂 dudes that tall will always have injury problems. They not Built like Shaq and Kareem. You can’t expect them to just gain muscle weight and expect less injury you should expect more. Muscle weight is heavier than phatty weight so they need to build more lower body leg strength to be able to withstand the extra weight. Even then you start looking at feet problems then you see how they can deal with their feet and not injuring them. You are a literal Jenga tower at that height waiting for something bad to happen
I'm a diehard magic fan and am so glad we drafted Paolo, but I really want to see Chet thrive in the NBA. Part of me wanted the magic to draft Chet to play with Suggs. I can't wait to see him in the NBA
More like chet is ready to break his leg again in two months😂😂😂
With a healthy Chet Okc is definitely viable to grab a playoff spot next year
His frame isn’t one that can really put size on, his shoulders aren’t giannis/wemby sorts. He has a really strange build that’s going to be an improvement risk and a health risk for his career I believe. If he puts weight on it won’t sit right on that frame
