Those are all true things. So what? James Harden is good at basketball.

Nurse met with Embiid and had a “nice talk” with him. Nurse said Embiid is a “tall player” who “scores a lot of points.” They talked basketball, and Joel is “good to talk basketball with” because he’s “an NBA player”.

I don’t want him. We’ve seen him at his best. Not just with us, but in Houston and Brooklyn. And his best simply isn’t good enough. I’d rather see better coaching and game-planning for young players who COULD be good enough to win a title in a few years. Maxey, Springer, Reed, etc.

If you listen to the way Nurse talks about his conversations with Harden in the pod, it does more or less sound like Harden coming back is a foregone conclusion.

I’ll never forget this one post game interview from last year
Harden passed an amazing fast break bounce pass to Maxey in full sprint for a basket
In the post game, a reporter said to him “you must have put front spin bounce pass to get it to maxey and drop it right in his pocket” and James’ face lit up and he was like “thank you! I put a lot into my game and it means a lot when people notice the little things”
