What’s Next For The Portland Trail Blazers?

The Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard entered the 2022-23 season without CJ McCollum for the first time in a decade. With the addition of Jerami Grant and rookie Shaedon Sharpe, the hope was the Trail Blazers could finally be a elite tier team with Dame. Unfortunately, the defense struggled once again and the Trail Blazers once again struggled to make the postseason. As they now enter the offseason with pick #3 in the 2023 draft, the Trail Blazers could finally decide to start a great rebuild, or could trade the pick to take one last shot at a title with Dame. I discuss the pros and cons of each option, what option I believe is best and what option I believe is most likely in Portland.

  1. I dont understand overall. Lillard is currently a top 10 player. The team overall was decently good until injuries. We are now set to trade for good roll pieces; and we can star sharpe and gain size and potential defense (ant is not a good defender)
People instead insist that scoot is the answer… while he is short; has bad defense and will face the same problem as dame and ant/cj have always have. If scoot is the way it’s a trade everyone but sharpe type of trade; and this is a super duper risky plan. Ant, scoot and sharpe will never work.. you’d have to trade ant either way.

  2. the fact that they could jump start one of the best rebuilds in recent memory, but will likely choose to be mild for another half decade is disgusting
