1. Maxey was a *positive* defender, which coheres with what many saw as well. Harden was considerably worse on both offensive and defensive RAPTOR (+1.2,-1.3).
2. Embiid stunk offensively and was a negative, but he was by far the best defensive player in the playoffs.
3. Paul Reed was our best bench player. +3.4 and +4.3
On a game-by-game basis you would definitely be able to argue that Harden or Embiid had a better night here or there. Maxey played the most consistently well by far. So I see where this ranking came from.

AH yes, Kevon Looney with the same WAR as Maxey. Lmaoooooooo
RAPTOR sux and so does 538.

Maxey was awful in nearly every game vs Boston besides game 5 & 6

Embiid’s defense was crazy good in that Celtics series aside from Game 7. Stats seem to back it up.
If Joel played up to his regular season offensive standards his total RAPTOR would have been 10.8, higher than Jokic.

isnât war a cumulative statistic? Joel missing two games probably impacted this a lot. Maxey was not our best player though regardless what the statistics show.

You donât understand what RAPTOR is. Itâs a measure of how good a player has performed WITHIN THEIR ROLE. You cannot compare a high usage star to a role player using RAPTOR.
According to the rankings and your logic, Caleb Martin âperformed betterâ than Steph in the playoffs this year. Does that check out?

Yo, Jalen Brunson was +10 on offense, so proud of that kid.
