    Weird shot by Butler near the end and un-Butler like. He looked gassed, so maybe that had something to do with it. Not that it would’ve mattered. It was Joker and Denver’s year.

    In defense of Butlers missed contested 3 pt shot at :25 He had just scored on 4 (or 5?) straight possessions with contested shots (including 2 x 3 pt shots). When you are on a hot roll like that you expect him to take the next shot.

    RE Jimmy Butler it had everything to do with him playing batter teams. He didn’t play particularly well against the Celts either.

    We’ve seen Giannis win it, Now Jokic got one. I’m very excited to see what Slim Luka can do this season. I’m calling it now, LUKA MAGIC WILL BE THE 2024 MVP

    YOOOO where is the acknowledgement that his team actually just got better. Stat padded for two straight seasons and what happened in the post season……Now murray, gordon, kcp, brown are all doing well, and it's all about jokic….OK

    What's interesting is that if a white analyst made the same statement perkins made, but about a black player, he would have been banned immediately and branded a racist.

    That 3 over Aaron Gordon (bear down AG and Zeke) – when I watched him shoot, first thought was "no no no too early," … seconds later, I thought it was Jimmy showing another leadership moment. Knowing they were probably going down that night, he put it on himself. Bam had a coming out party as well… love his mindset and how smooth his game has developed. Heat put on a classic show their entire playoff run… great end to an enjoyable season.

    Jokic has been great the last 5 seasons in the NBA. I don't think he has necessarily improved per say in the last 3 years. Each MVP has been deserved because that Denver team would be a lottery team without him at the 5. He is the best player in the NBA right now but being the best in the NBA hasn't always guaranteed you a title/ring (ie. LeBron). A lot more credit needs to be given to the Denver front office for making really strong moves to fit the best pieces around him.

    Jamal is the best guard to play off of Jokic with his amazing shot making ability along with his use of Jokic's screens.

    3&D guys like KCP and Bruce Brown have been huge upgrades on players like Austin Rivers, Torey Craig, Monte Morris and more.

    And Aaron Gordon needs more credit. The best pure slasher in the league to play off the best passer in the NBA and he can also shoot the 3 at a decent clip.

    It's also clear that this FO had a clear direction and is an organisation that truly trusts in their people they have invested in, a sign of a quality organisation. They could have easily traded JM and MPJ during their long injury bouts but they knew what they got at the time and stuck by them 110%. As an athlete, I'm sure there's no better reason to go out there on the court and give your organisation your all after they stuck by you in your darkest moments.

    Denver only ran 7-8 players deep but had the perfect makeup around Jokic and finally got it right.

    He's basically the only reason i watch bball. I might be biased since i come from 'same region' as I live in Croatia but I feel he could be in goat conversation when its all said and done.
    He's just the most dominant offensive player I've ever seen.Unfortunately he probably won't be your LBJ type player playing in his 40s chasing goat status even though with his playstyle he could basically play till 45 and still be your main guy on the team,thats just how great Nikola is.

    I hate the fact that Nuggets missed so many open shots in these finals, and Jokic was those 0.5 assists per game short of 30pt triple double average for the playoffs. THE POWER OF STAT PADDING! 😆

    Remember guys this league is made for big men to run the offense. The league is softer now. If joker played in the 80s and 90s he'd wouldn't go through everyone 😂

    The truth is Jokic didn't have a "run". He''s been playing the at that level the last 3 season he just didn't have Robin.

    I got Jokic #21 in my all time best players list. He's no doubt a top 25 player with just one championship, if he wins 2 and another finals MVP, he'll be #12 in my list. I'm rooting for Jokic, I think he can make it as a top 10 player by the end of his career.

    Jokic has accomplished more than all the players that were questioning him. It's not like guys like Barkley and Shaq were calling Jokic out, just guys like Perkins who would get destroyed by Jokic.
