The Toronto Raptors have been missing the quick and lengthy 3-level scoring archetype on their team for a very long time but the 2023 NBA draft offers a chance to find the piece that they need. Masai Ujiri’s management team and Dan Tolzman’s scouting team have been working extremely hard to find the right player for the Raptors to draft with the 13th overall pick on June 22nd and perhaps they think they have it with a Michigan shooting guard by the name of Kobe Bufkin.
Bufkin has shot up draft boards with his play in the second half of the NCAA season and has been heavily on the radar for a number of Raptors fans for quite some time, interested in bringing in this unique skillset and high upside on to the team. Maybe this is the type of player Darko Rajakovic would really want in his system. What makes Bufkin such an intriguing prospect is he the right fit for the Raptors to use their lottery pick?

Him and Sidy Cissoko are my 2 favourite prospects
if bilal is there at 13 masai will pick bilal coulabaly. these rookie pg are not gonna be better than jeff dowtin or malachi flynn or even scottie or pascal filling in at pg. no rookie is gonna be better than guys that have been in the league 3 years picked 10th or later.
Cason Wallace feels like a safe pick but would be excited with Kobe Bufkin, Keyonte George, or Bilal Coulibaly.

If we Stay at 13. If Fred leaves. I like Cason more. But I could see Masai falling in love with balal. I really don’t know what we are doing here. Maybe we trade OG to Memphis and get their “back up point guard” and some picks / David roddy. Is that’s the case. I like buf as our six man

I share your fondness for this prospect. Man is he entertaining to watch play. I think you got it exactly right with the video. Filling out isnt a given at all, but this guy competes and hes gonna put in the work required – I am a buyer in Kobe Bufkin stock.
Kobe is a bucket getter. His second half season splits were 50/40/90. I think his game will translate in the nba.
