An extremely rare level headed take on what’s going on in Sactown. It’s obvious you’ve actually watched the games and understood why there’s a reason to be excited. Kings are the #3 seed that are up 2 on the reigning champs and people still don’t see what’s going on. Thanks for the thorough overview of what’s happened in the first 2 games, especially the defense being visibly better in game 2. The disrespect is real, but the poise of this young team is next level (we’re lucky to have an absolute professional vet in Harrison Barnes) and the vibes are immaculate (thankful for GM Monte McNair that likes to go for the “hardworking good guy” type). They show up and just play their game and step up when it’s needed, and continue to adjust and get better every single game (that’s thanks to Mike Brown for creating that culture and getting the team mentally prepared). People under rate the Beam Team BIG TIME because they don’t watch the games and just buy the media narrative of “inexperience”. I personally no longer have worries about playoff experience because this team has found their IDENTITY and are now working to make that stronger. They know who they are, they know what needs to be done, and they’ve worked hard all season to have the confidence to take care of business. I’m ready to see how game 3 is gonna go down, and I hope there’s gonna be a purple invasion of Kings fans and beam chants at the soon to be Golden 2 Center. I wanna see the champs SHOOK when they realize they gotta play 7 away games. LIGHT IT 🔦🟣 I’ve been unreasonably high on the Kings since before the start of the season (it made sense on paper and I decided to put my faith in Big Brain 12D-Chess Monte) and they’ve some how managed to meet and exceed those wild expectations, so hell I’m just gonna go for one more- Suns v Kings 2023 WCF. It’s been spoken 🧘🏻♂️ but no matter where they end up, this city will cheer for them like they came home with the chip.
To describe how rabid the kings fans are, during the playoff drought, they set the world record for the loudest arena (not stadium). Now, their team is doing great and possibly even greater? Fans at one point during the season put the beam at G1C as a place of worship on Google. 😂
