    The Rockets did not have Drexler at that time. He was in Portland. They had Craig Ehlo and Terry Teagle as SG's. The point you were making is incorrect.

    Charlotte would be Boston Celtics Dumb if they traded Lamello Ball… Charlotte needs to skip on Scoot & Start the Lamello and Miller Show…!!!! Charlotte needs a true big man also. But that would make Charlotte a contender in a few seasons if developed correctly…!!!

    I never understood why organizations were so concerned about how the young athletes would handle becoming so wealthy so fast, like Donald Trump wasn’t running around Bankrupting businesses left and right his whole adolescent and Adult life… How many communities did he destroy unchecked…!!!? And he became the President…??? Racially bias much..?

    I would love for them to trade him. I have zero faith that the Charlotte front office can do anything at all to get him closer to winning.

    Neither! If the organization is how you say it is, "only focused on being just good enough to put butts in seats, financial gain etc, then the only clear option would be to trade the pick for Zion Williamson. That's it. Mission accomplished…

    I’d argue that Scoot is the better player, and the better fit. Scoot gives CLT two playmakers on the floor whose games are completely different and compliment each other. Melo is tall, lanky, skilled, play-making, and a terrific shooter. Scoot is shorter, all muscles, finishes at the rim, physical, but shooting might be a work in progress. Basketball isn’t played with PG, SG, SF, PF, C anymore. Sign me up for a starting lineup of Melo/Scoot/Miles/PJ/Mark with Terry/Gordon/Cody/Richards/Thor/Bouk/Kai rounding out the rotation. Melo isn’t your average rookie-deal player, but he ain’t turning down the supermax. MJ would pay that, but it probably won’t matter bc he’s selling anyhow.

    Melo is my guy but for him to be even greater he needs someone like Scoot to take the load off him
    He will complement him in every level , on the court and off the court.
    Scoot shot 43% on catch and shoot last season.
    Plus his driving and playmaking
    Those two are meant for each other.

    hakeem was the BEST PLAYER IN THAT DRAFT at the time. Not Jordan. it was portland who drafted Sam Bowie who was nice but came off a serious injury while in college. But i see why Portland drafted him cause he was on the 80 USA Olympic team that was not allowed to play due to the boycott of the russians but they played a series of 6 games against NBA All-Star teams and he put in WORK against them so teams salivated him from that point on. Combine that with the fact that they had drexler and that bowie pick made since. If bowie didn't get injured, portland would have been competing for championships out of the the west with the Laker's.

    I've seen a lot of videos on the Hornets and the #2 pick recently but this is one of the hottest takes yet. And no – that's not a good thing.

    Melo played with Lonzo. Lonzo was the PG, Melo the SG. Melo is absolutely used to playing SG. Have you seen his shooting? He's an elite deep 3 shooter. You give him someone like Scoot feeding him open 3s, that % will climb even higher.

    There are 100 possessions in an average game. Melo is a wizard at passing the ball. I'm comfortable with Melo playing PG 50 possessions and Scoot playing PG for 50.

    Scoot is working with Steph's trainers. He'll develop that 3 ball.

    This isn't about "Who is the PG and who is the SG?" This is about 2 players who can get to any spot on the floor and find open teammates in crazy fun ways. These 2 can not only coexist but be the most exciting young backcourt in the NBA. Full stop.

    And Scoot and Melo are friends. They are also the 2 most marketable players for Puma.

    Finally: Scoot won't start. Clifford makes players earn their place. Rozier would start until Scoot proves himself, much as Melo had to do. There will be backlash but Clifford won't care. He'll do what he thinks is best for the team.
