Ayton for Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic would be one of the best packages for Ayton. They get a center who is an elite rebounder and defender who can finish around the rim and a 6'6 wing who can shoot and give them 14ppg while not being a liability on defense. The hawks have been trying to acquire Ayton for some time now.

As a mavs fan I hope the suns front office isn’t smart enough to do a trade like and instead blow their wad on one guy to try to make big 3. Under the new cba cap space is more important then ever. Luxury tax teams can’t use a mid level exemption or go after buy out players. There are so many other restrictions that make it impossible to get any better. I like the trade for the mavs but would be nervous about the flexibility y’all would have w 16 mil in cap space plus the 12 mil if y’all buyout cp. You could get a lot of pieces to put around kd and book. Nice video gabe.
If Vogel keeps Ayton and plays hun least 35 or 36 minutes a game. He will average at least 21 points and 12 rebounds a game
I think getting Zion would be a CP3 situation all over again. He's been injured ever since he got in the league. Miles Turner seems like a way better trade off.

Looking at these trades and what we'd likely get back I'd say no. Not right now.keep ayton, see if vogel can fix his game and mindset( remember he's still pretty young) now that monty is gone. Best case scenario he does that and we have a potential all-star center that develops strong defensive skills. Remind him that we took him #1 because we believed in his potential to be great. Worst case scenario, he improves under vogel but wants to try another team. Then we trade him at the deadline but with increased value. Hopefully ishbia sends him to olajuwon's camp to train and learn from Hakeem or we find a way to bring garnett on in an advisory capacity to help ayton . Free agency target Dennis Smith Jr., trey lyles and danillo gallinari. Aquire a midtown late first for shamet and payne and use it to insure we can get a James nnaji and Andre Jackson or Jordan walsh or trayce Jackson Davis and dacron holmes.
