They signed Carmelo and built aged "all-star" way past their prime around him. Then, they traded their franchise player in Porzingis for players I barely remember and don't know if still in the league. Miss the opportunity to sign Kyrie and KD because they don't want to give KD the max because of his achilles. And Randle clearly don't want to play for the Knicks anymore. Knicks will blow the team up, rebuild, find a good cornerstone player, trade him, then repeat the cycle again. Knicks fans can't catch a break.
