Man if this dude had a full, healthy career he’d easily be up there as one of the great bigs. The soft touch and footwork at his size was unstoppable. His mid range game was so money I bet if he played in today’s game he’d be pulling up from three for sure. T-Mac and Yao are the duo that got me into basketball as a kid

That move vs Indiana reminded me of Hakeem schooling David Robinson

Yao’s injury history allowed him to walk so Zion could RUN

I’ll always say this, if he didn’t get injured in ’09, they beat the Lakers in that 2nd round series where he got hurt in game 1and win the title that year. They would have beat the nuggets in the West finals easily and same with the magic in the finals.
He had a shirt stretch around that time where he was one of the most dominant players in the league, unfortunately it didn’t last very long.

Yao was a cheat code who played with grace and force. He would’ve dominated any era and it breaks my heart he was so injured all the damn time.

Injuries suck. Yao was a beast.

It’s still insane how light footed he was under the rim

Yao’s awkwardness was so endearing
